I enjoyed my visit to the Llandoger Trow. There was a good range of real ales on draft, including Thornbridge Jaipur. They were playing some really good music including Jonny Cash and Portishead. I particularly enjoyed reading about the history of the building. However, I noticed a spelling mistake on the plaque!Work on your SPAG guys and I?m sure there?ll be plenty of 5 star reviews coming your way in the future!

Favourite pub in Bristol. Amazing range of beers. Fast, friendly service on a busy Saturday! Couldn't ask for more!

At last! I've wanted to visit this pub, and "Brizzle" for many years. A good selection of beers available, although many are "on tap."Great atmosphere, great music ( Cream and Zepp playing when I visited).

A simply brilliant selection of ales and other beers on draft, served by friendly, knowledgeable staff, in a big old pub. Brilliant. And an award from Timmy Taylor, no less.

Historic pub with links to Daniel Defoe and Robert Louis Stevenson. Fantastic old building with lots of character. Has reinvented its self as a very popular real ale pub. Incredibly busy on the Saturday night I visited. If you don't like crowds probably best to visit earlier in the day. Very good selection of beer, the staff manage to cope very well with the large numbers. Only plastic glasses when visited. In the current CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2023. (So crowded found it difficult to photograph, the painting is from their advert in the local CAMRA magazine). If you want a pub that is full of life on a Saturday this is the place to go in Bristol.

Amazing architecture, good ales . Front of the pub brilliant. The back seating area very noisy box like.

This pub in a historic building has many ghost stories. But the most important thing is that it has a lot of different beer choices, enjoy.

Nice old building circa 1664, a good selection of ales, loses a star for being card only, and doesn't do itself any favours by having graffiti in the toilets, you may think this is edgy and artistic, it's not, it gives a poor impression of a pub that's given up. Disrespectful to the heritage of the building.

A great place with a proper old pub atmosphere. It was super busy when we were there and the staff handled it well. Great selection of beers too.

It was super busy when we went in but the staff really managed the place well! The selection of beer is fantastic! Especially if you?re into German beer! However, much like the trend there is a lot of IPA. Friendly attitude and will be back.

I love this pub. Fantastic range of beers and ciders and an amazingly historic venue.

A King Street, and Bristol, must visit. A proper old fashioned pub with bare beams and some summer floors. Great range of beers, and a student discount if you're lucky enough, good to watch sports at the back, but also room in the bar for sitting and catching up. Basically, does everything you could ask for from a pub
