Ordered kit for one day's use, and paid for delivery. Was told at 9am that it would arrive by 11.30. It didn't. Was then told it would arrive "after lunch". Since I had taken the day off work to use it, and expected to get a whole day's use out of it, this was no good to me. So I cancelled the order.

Popped into my Local Branch of Branston pickle Tool hire to book a mini digger as I thought going in would be the most efficient way of hiring. But oh No! you have to go online. I got to work and went online but could not book one the Thursday only the Friday despite being told at the depot I could have one for Thursday. I rang the depot and confirmed I could have one for Thursday, he suggested I call the number on the website. I rang the number on the website and the Lady was helpful and said she could secure the booking she just needed to call the depot to confirm the availability. The same depot I had already been into and rang to confirm availability myself. Wow. she eventually confirmed this was ok and proceeded to take my details and confirm payment amounts, expensive but only what you would expect from a nation wide outfit. we were just about to push the button when she brought up the subject of plant insurance I would have to have myself, she sent me the link to JCB who provide this at a cost of £73 pd so the total cost would come to over £300 for a mini digger hire. It is not the cost although this is very high for one day it is the lack of ease of making a booking and not having the total cost clearly indicated at point of sale. This is a perfect example of a company getting too big and managers trying to do something that bears no relation to customer service . Advice : Think like a customer, put your customer first not your business. Incidentally I rang a local small firm and hired one for £240 all in delivered with fuel. One call, One email.

Communication isn't their strong point, they don't keep you informed and almost never call you back. Not great when you're trying to manage a project! Could and should be a five star business...

Great staff at a bristol born company. Very tidy and welcoming. Had to be a bit brave to drive into the large main roller doors for parking as it's inside the building. But once inside all made sense. Great price for a weekend hire of mixer and compactor

Shockingly bad,. Booked Micro digger and motorised barrow one week ago but did not turn up, nothing at the branch and three builders on site twiddling their thumbs!!!
Thanks Brandon, Iâ??ll be sure to pass on your professionalism.

We booked a floor grinder in advance with HSS and when we went to collect they let us down. So, we went to Brandon Tool Hire (on advice from HSS!) and they informed us where we could get one and tested it before we arrived to make sure it was all complete and working correctly. They advised me on how to use it and helped me to try and get it into my car. It wouldn't quite fit so they offered to deliver it to Keynsham for me at the drop of a hat. I couldn't have asked for better service from the boys at Brandon Feeder Road. Thanks.
