I had a good experience with the eye test itself ? the service was thorough, detailed, and clearly explained.
However, I was disappointed to learn that Specsavers does not support fitting lenses into customers' own frames. You're required to purchase one of their in-house frames, which I found to be quite limited in style and quality. I was hoping to use a higher-quality frame of my own, but that wasn't an option.
Unfortunately, the customer service after the eye test fell short. The assistant, Rachel, appeared impatient and only provided a vague estimate of the cost for lenses with their frames. When I expressed that I wasn?t interested in any of their frame options, she suggested paying a bit more for two frames ? which felt more like a sales push than genuine help. Her attitude made me feel unwelcome, as if I was being encouraged to leave.
Thank you for the eye test, but I strongly suggest making it clearer ? perhaps with signage at the entrance ? that lenses are only available with Specsavers frames. It would save customers time and frustration.

I have been goiing to Specsavers in Wokingham for a few years now and have always found them to be very helpful apart from one visit when I was kept waiting for about 30 minutes after being told I'd be seen in a few minutes. This last visit was altogether different. The shop had had a makeover since I was last there which made it seem much more open. I was greeted by a very pleasant assistant and was not kept waiting for my appointment at all. The very pleasant optician Sean Caskey was most helpful and explained everything about my cataracts well. I could not fault my visit at all.

If I tell you how friendly and helpful their staff are I might not be able to get a quick appointment next time I need to. ?
Just be aware that you need to take your old contact lenses in if you're having a contact lenses test. I ran out of mine and it caused a knock on affect but they found a solution and I felt very special in the process.

Perfectly acceptable eye test, something rather rushed about the whole experience. Went elsewhere to get the glasses as felt staff were just there to sell.
Was grudgingly told eyes were perfectly legal to drive, but perhaps I should have some glasses.
