Stopped her for a night to visit the Nirvana Spa. Welcoming from arrival to departure.
Bed wasn?t the comfiest, the double was made of two single mattresses.
Could do with repainting in the room we stayed atleast.
Rooms: nothing special to be expected.
Nearby activities: Nirvana Spa.
Food and drinks: The stables bar & restaurant provides a great Sunday roast. Great beer garden too.

The location is very scenic and a bit out of the way.
The rooms were laid out really nicely but ear plugs are essential as the walls and windows are paper thin. You can hear everything and everyone around you.
They tried their best with the service but they need a bit more practice when it comes to serving gluten free options.
They stated that my meal options were gluten free but something definitely wasn?t right as I felt terrible through the night.
The breakfast options were plentiful and I could find good stuff for my needs.
The work breakout snacks were ok but 4 gf digestives while everyone else was having an assortment of amazing pastries was a bit frustrating.
The lunch options were lovely and filled me up just right :)
Overall the front of house staff were very attentive but please do put a bit more focus on those that have dietary requirements so they have a bit more variety
Nearby activities: There?s an outdoors sport center on the doorstep. Tennis, footy, hockey etc and a lovely circular track for running or even walking
Walkability: A 20minute leisurely walk from the train station that takes you through some nice scenery

We had to attend a very unwell family member, so booked a room at Cantley House to be close. It was, unfortunately, Valentines Day, so we were informed that the restaurant was full and that they would not be able to do room service (understandable).
Adrian on the reception was very nice and and very helpful. On check in, I asked if they had a breakfast menu for the next morning, but they didn't. We went up to our room, and in about 10 minutes, Adrian had brought us a printed menu without us even asking. Very kind of him.
The hotel is beautiful, but is getting a little bit tired. The reception area has had a face-lift, which looks very nice, but the rooms are starting to get a bit shabby.
This being said, the room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was nice and comfortable as well.
Rooms: Nice, but getting a little tired.
Noteworthy details: Beautiful building.

Rooms: The room was dated, shower rail not attached at the bottom, the bed was saggy
Food and drinks: Not alot of selection for food but the breakfast was amazing

Rooms are ok, cold water showers as the hot water is intermittent/faulty and staff don't seem to communicate with each other or the maintenance staff.

Freezing rooms!
Stayed for a night in Dec 24 in the freezing room 28.
Upon arrival the room was icy cold and we had to open the radiators. The bathroom radiator did not work. When we returned to our room after 12pm there was NO HEATING AT ALL, and i had to wear layers of clothing in order to be able to sleep.
The bathroom also had a leak and water was coming from the floor boards. All and all, i would not recommend this place.

Not good! Avoid room 15 at all costs! It's above a very loud swinging door or something which was banging all night. Went to Cantley House for a weekend to catch up and relax with a friend. We specifically sought out this hotel for the double room so we could catch up. We got there and were told even though we had reserved and paid for a double, we would be put in seperate rooms on opposite sides of the hotel. The man at the reception desk was very salty with us when we asked why that had happened. We were also not informed that a wedding would be taking place, meaning a VERY loud PA system until 1am. Breakfast was poor, the poor staff were struggling to get food out to the buffet fast enough, there were 2 staff and about 70 guests. I did complain to the man at the front desk as our whole weekend of catching up, relaxing and getting some rest had been a pointless waste of money (no sleep, no hanging out together), he took my details on a piece of paper and said someone would be in touch to talk about a partial refund, but he almost certainly threw that paper in the bin. No one was ever in touch.

Stayed the night after visiting for a party. Room was spacious and had everything we needed with a big bathroom too. Lovely breakfast the next morning too altho it did take a long time for the cooked breakfast (I think the order may have got lost!) But the staff were very apologetic.

Disappointing. Tired, dated, stale room at the end of a leaky, smelly hallway which had towels shoved against the walls to absorb the leaks.

It would be great if they could answer the phone. 20 minutes on hold. Hung up, tried a different option. Tried to press 1 to leave a voicemail- it didn?t work. I don?t think they?re keen to have any customers?

Room had a couple of very small issues that could be very easily addressed.
Holes in the walls filed but not painted over.
Brass plates around light switches were filthy, needed cleaning and polishing.
Can't see a reason why many of the spy holes in the doors to the hotel rooms were taken out and replaced with rolled up paper?.
Overall it was a good wedding and reception that we went to.

We had our wedding at Cantley this month and had the most incredible day, the venue was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the whole day. A special mention to Lara and Diane who were brilliant in organising the day and ensured everything ran smoothly, we would absolutely recommend Cantley as a wedding venue and the Barn was stunning!
