It all started off ok, albeit with a couple of oddities. My wife and I both ordered pomegranate lemonades, but they were served with only the cordial in the drink and two cans of Schweppes plonked on the table next to us. I thought the restaurant would make us the drinks properly.
However, about fifteen minutes into our time there, the lights to approximately half the restaurant went out with a small bang, leaving our table in almost total darkness. The lights were turned back on, only for the same thing to happen at least two more times. One of the waiters pointed out to a senior staff member that the light fixture was sparking, causing the lights to fail. The table directly below the lights fixture was moved, but we were ignored on this issue, despite sparks still coming out of the lights. At one point, a waiter came out to the lights fixture with a large kitchen knife, discussing with another waiter whether to stand on the table next to us and do something.
During all this time, our table was in almost total darkness. Only after about fifteen minutes did one of the waiters come out with a small plate of candles which made a marginal difference. Right at the very end of our meal, one of the staff members apologized briefly for the inconvenience; other than that, there was no acknowledgment of the danger or incompetence shown throughout the meal.
The food was alright, but the lack of management shown to a simple problem highlighted to me that this is a restaurant to avoid.

Excellent service. Warmly greeted and shown to a clean table. Pizza was fine as one would expect. Price was fair. Must really call out the friendly, attentive service as that makes what was a tasty pizza an even better experience.

Fantastic service by Duarte. Friendly without being overbearing. Very efficient service from him for the entirety of my meal.
The food was great, one of the best Pizza Express I've been too. Well done back of house team for the delicious food.

This is my regular pizza place, but it has really gone downhill. Throughout my visit the staff were going on cigarette breaks and opening the cupboard door which was just behind our table. They were taking their jackets leaving the door wide open which was both ugly and cold and Their cigarette break visits were relentless. When we were seated, the table was wiped down but it was soaking wet and they landed the menus on the soaking wet table. Naturally, the menus are also soaking wet. Experience was downhill from there and I don?t think I will go back

First visit in a Pizza Express. We booked a table , online for 2 persons. The waiter was in "rush" , he was not waiting for us to have a sit , and he already asked us for the order. The pizzas came very fast (probably frozen) . We had La Reine pizza with little amount of ham and olives. For drinks we ordered Coke , on the menu is bottle and what we got was can. Dissapointed about that because we wanted to drink a nice bottle of Coke. Price is a bit high for what you get.

This was such friendly and accommodating service! We had a party of 33 (children and adults) and we have been looked after with much attention. Thank you for a great meal and great service!

The waiter was excellent, I have to eat gluten free, and he took his time to go through all my options and explain the precautions taken. There were lots of GF options. I?m not sure what they?ve done to the gluten-free crust, but it?s not as good as it used to be. Please change it back.

We travelled from Essex to Slough for a catch-up with local friends and ended up staying the night in Slough Holiday Inn. The next day, we decided to spend the day in Windsor (a short drive down) and see what's what. Stumbled across this Pizza Express right across the road from Windsor Castle. It wasn't planned, but boy, was it worth it. It was a Sunday around midday, cold outside, and grey (autumn). The restaurant wasn't busy when we entered, so we were able to get a window table without pre-booking. Suffice to say, within 30 minutes from our arrival, it started getting busy. So much so that walk-ins were being turned away as it became clear...this Pizza Express gets very, very busy. Don't go there without a booking. We were very lucky. It's popular with the locals but also the tourists. Nice, wholesome yummy foods always draw crowds.
Our meals were served warm, it was generous and delicious ? especially for our empty tummies. For health reasons, I had the salad ? (Nicoise), my partner had some pasta dish, and my son had his usual margarita pizza ?. No complaints about the food. This was the first time I ever tried a salad for my main meal at a restaurant, and I was surprised how filling it was. Top choice indeed.
Service wasn't too bad, smiles from our waiter (can't recall his name), would have been a great addition, but hey, you can't win them all.
Overall, definitely recommend Pizza Express Windsor when you are in the area. Please just be sure to call or go online and book in advance...you have been warned ?? ?, otherwise you'll miss out.
Parking: Walk from where we parked at the rail station car park (paid via app and a bit cheaper on weekends and public holidays). Its about a 10min leisurely Walk with an incline as the castle and part of Windsor is on a hill.
Kid-friendliness: Yes, with a kids' menu and pricing.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, but not a huge entrance into the restaurant.
