Shared a family room with 4 of us. Was good. Comfortable beds, enough room, good bathroom. Parking was full, but parked in overflow carpark. Easy to find.

A one night stopover on the way to Stonehenge. No chance of an early check in unless paid extra for unlike other locations. It is a motorway stop so although it doesn't have its own food area, the actual service area across the car park is a good selection of foods. Just take care crossing as you cross over on the main entrance off the motorway. We were disturbed shortly after check in by the fire alarm and everyone had to evacuate. Strange we were allowed back in before the fire service arrived.Rooms: Room was large and while very warm, a large fan was running in the room to keep it cool. Nice powerful shower and hot water. Bed was comfortable enough but with the size of the room could have been located a bit further away from the side wall which was quite a narrow space.

This travelodge had just been refurbished but the cleaning staff needs to pay more attention to detail. Dirty bathroom, Alarm keeps going off in my room due to dirty sensor. The fire Department was called and the fire man had to clean the sensor. Shame on the cleaning staff ?Rooms: Needs better attention to cleaning

Smells a bit funky and at times you need to tap on the glass to draw the attention of your rustic assistant. The drone is 24/7 but it's not terrible. There's a footpath out to some woods and a Greg's at the services.Walkability: I walked back to Hermitage but you aren't getting to Newbury

Stayed for 2 nights with my dog in an accessible room - I?m a wheelchair user and amputee. After an initial mix up, the room was adequate, though the bath/shower was not really accessible for all.Positives:? once I moved the desk chair, there was plenty of room to get around with my wheelchair.? The toilet had good hand rails to allow for easy transfers.? The bathroom door is sliding which was great.? We were able to have an extra key for my room.? The room was clearly recently updated, had USB chargers behind the bed which was useful for phones.? Grassy area at the front of the hotel which was good for dogs.Negatives:? very hard to find the entrance road at night as there?s no signage and it?s pitch black with no lighting.? metal keys instead of key cards.? The door to the accessible room I had was behind the corridor door which made getting in and out quite challenging, often having to wait for other people to move from the corridor before I could exit as the outer door blocked my doorway.? A lot of noise from the banging of the corridor door, but otherwise not too noisy in the front building block.? While the rest of the room and bathroom was clean, the bath tub clearly had not been cleaned and there was marks around the inside, plus dust and dirt around the top edge.? The bathroom is not truly accessible. It?s not a wet room; the bath has a platform at the far end which can be sat on and then I could lower myself into the bath (not something everyone would be capable of).? The rail along the wall side of the bath made sitting in the bath quite uncomfortable, and I also had to prepare beforehand by ensuring the shower head was in reach as it?s at the other end of the bath, and originally was clipped high up on the wall.Unfortunately the bath/shower is the main reason I reduced the rating as it?s not truly accessible, especially for a solo disabled person or an older person. Otherwise, there were a lot of small things that cause the rating to be lower as well.Generally, I?d say it is an Okay hotel and fine for a short stay, but not somewhere I would necessarily look forward to staying at again, but I also wouldn?t be averse.

Travelodge has recently been refurbished to a better standard than it was. Good location for an overnight stay at M4 Chieveley Service. Good driving access to get to Newbury Showground luckily we had a minibus going back and forth from Travelodge to Showground. Requires 24/7 cover on Reception as on arrival had to wait 10 minutes even though we had booked early check-in.

The Chieveley Travelodge is a perfect place to stay for a night or two, very clean and comfortable with all the basic stuff you need. It?s two minutes walk to the big service station, so it?s easy to get food or go for a tea or coffee. They also have their own breakfast service in the hotel

Minimal external noise considering location. Better signage coming off small roundabout into parking area would help. Beds not the softest Travel lodge have so not best nights sleep. Clean and pleasant staff.

Great "drop in" during a long journey, but look out for the signs, it's not always that easy to find when you get off the motorway. We had to go round the car park twice before we found the overflow car park for the lodge

Straightforward hotel no frills but bare necessities. Katie was pleasant and very helpful considering our family has two very small children with my wife attending full day trainings. She(Katie) offered an early check-in (at a fee), a hand with our luggage both on arrival and departure. Then further offered Late checkout. The staff in general were very nice and were interactive with our ever friendly toddler who greets everyone.

Best Travelodge, for the great price. Everything you needed close by, great staff and clean rooms, set out well. Close to Motorway, but we were not disturbed by traffic. We would definitely stay again.

The newly appointed Manager was very helpful. I am pleased with the customer service received at this hotel. The general hotel facilities were tidy and presentable, ranging from the entrance, to the carpark and rooms.

I booked this hotel as it was on the way to Cornwall and was the cheapest I found (The ones nearer to Salisbury or Bristol was at least double the price i paid £38.99 inc wifi) I wasn't expecting anything special as I knew it was just going to be overnight. But I must say I was very impressed, it is a excellent location quieter than I thought it would be, found parking close to Hotel at about 4.30pm and room, hotel and staff all good. If we are ever going that way again and need to stop overnight or longer, I will defitnitley choose this hotel.

Stayed in this Travel lodge back in December on the way down to Southampton for a cruise. Wasn?t overly impressed but okay for over night. Decided to stay here again just over a week ago again to cruise from Southampton. What a big difference the place transformed. Newly decorated and carpets replaced. Full marks. There?s a few places to buy food just a few strides away
