I fail to understand why people think this place is amazing and give it five stars? My wife and I paid over £70 for very poor quality food, really it was just substandard takeaway food served on plates at a table, which I can do at home for a lot less money. My wife was also left with a dry cleaning bill after the waiter tipped Satay Chicken down her jacket, and then failed to apologise or offer to help in anyway to clean up the mess.

Just went about a hour ago to pick some food. Well, food is about quality, taste and presentation. This one hasn't any of those qualities. Ordered "special chop suey " that came floating in sauce like in picture, prawn chow mein, and spring rolls. The chow mein is inedible, tastes like nothing, the spring rolls smell a rotten vegetables, disgusting and the chop suey is ok but half of it is sauce. There is no way to recommend such place. It is AWFUL! Worse Chinese restaurant I ever seen. Now I'm eating cup noodles. Waste my money for nothing.

I?ve just been and collected my order. Plain chow mein and 4 vegetables spring rolls. Both were disgusting, the chow mein was swimming in sauce and tasted vile. The 4 spring rolls looked like they had been thrown around the kitchen before frying. They were burnt one side and soggy the other. I won?t be going back there again.

The guy who took my take away order got it wrong. When I told him , he got angry and insisted I had asked for the wrong dish. Very rude and also patronising. I will not be going back there.Parking: Some free parking

We came here as a family to have an evening meal. We booked a table at 8pm, and had to wait on arrival to sit as we were the second sitting. It was 8.35pm before they took our food order. They did try to keep things moving but it was a late finish.We ordered the mixed set meal and the food kept coming. We don?t live locally and I thought it was quite good value for the quantity of food. The food was not always hot as it came out, and generally was quite sweet.The staff tried very hard and were very friendly.

Overall happy with the food, service and atmosphere.Parking: Limited free street parking, which gets filled pretty quickly. Not unexpected for a town centre location

We hadn?t been to the Szchuan for sometime but was really looking forward to it. I think the chef may have changed as it was good but not fantastic as normal.
