AVOID AT ALL COSTS - GO TO PREMIER INN
Room is decent sized and expected for a travelodge (though some may find it small).
No amenities and toilet regurgitates your waste some time after you flush. Expect to not have a good night's sleep as you will be woken by the cleaners early in the morning by their incessant chatter. Then if you put a Do Not Disturb sign on your door, they will intentionally knock several times early morning like a mad hatter saying 'housekeeping'. Also, the wifi automatically disconnects after every couple of hours so inadequate for wfh/taking meetings.
Very close proximity to the high street and a 7 min walk to the train station (using the Curve shortcut). As access is via dark alleyways, be careful and walk with someone.
Receptionist was really nice and welcoming. Explained how things work in a quick and easy way.
Cleaners and restaurant staff are a bit judgy and gossip about you in their own language. If you ask them for something, they will ask you unnecessary questions before helping e.g.: are you staying or checking out. Most of the time they refuse to help with basic requests for food.
Manager is very strict about rigid rules even if counterintuitive to the reality of everyday life and does not align with how most hotels treat their guests (but I guess that is to be expected with a below sub par budget hotel like Travelodge).
On top of that, they had a fire alarm drill for employees but did not think to tell the guests. Then, when asking if this would happen again (so I would know to ignore and not have to walk 7 flights of stairs twice), the people in charge could not understand this basic question and kept giving me an irrelevant answer. Finally got an answer from someone senior to say if I hear the fire alarm again, it's the real deal. A couple of days later, the alarm pings thrice.
Finally, I put a Do Not Disturb sign on the door and specifically housekeeping knocks loudly on my door to enquire if I need anything.
Food for breakfast is meh - not hot, not tasty, a bit like cardboard.
Some rooms have a clear view of Windsor Castle which is nice.

Interesting place to say the least. We used this as a Base for legoland like many others. Car park.under the hotel although convinient was full of rubbish, laughing gas canisters and generally run down.who ever owns it needs to serioisly sort it out.
The location although really useful for town is just littered with rubbish everywhere. Large bins not being emptied and hotel next to what can only be described as a post apocalyptic deserted building site and complex of flats which again looks rum down and unkempt.
The staff were lovely really welcoming and would do anything to try and make your stay better.
The room, we were in a family room 1 large bed and 2 singles. Average night sleep. To say they have upgraded the room is a bit of a joke. They brag about putting USB sockets which is all well and good but you could at least paint where over where the double socket once were. Only 2 actual plug sockets in the room.
Basic tea and coffee making stuff. Room outdated. Stains in the bathroom.
Gets a 3 for staff being amazing and close to town center but lost stars on the state of the surrounding area and the so called refurbishment being sub par. Brucy bonus there is a bar, good if you need a drink to forget about the landfillesk feeling.
Cheap and some what cheerful, staff amazing

I would rate it zero but doesn't allow me to.
I checked into the hotel about 11:30pm, there was an empty alcohol bottle in the room and the bedding was dirty. I called reception, they came to check and took photos. They offered to move us but it was past midnight and my toddler was asleep so didnt want to disturb her. I told them I was unhappy and they said speak to reception in the morning. When i spoke to a member of arrest in the morning she said she can give me an e-voucher I said I don?t want 1 and I want to speak to a senior member. She said they are in a meeting , I asked for a call back she said they will call me. It has been 2 days no one has called and instead they have sent me an evoucher. Why would i want to stay in a hotel again that has no time for their customers, cannot be bothered to call or speak to them and has dirty hotel rooms?!
Pay a bit extra if you can and array at premier inn or another hotel nearby that is clean and has time for their customers

I was a bit worried about this hotel when Id read the reviews but my advice is, dont always listen to reviews!
When we arrived it was just after 8pm and the reception was closed but there was a number you could call. The receptionist came straight away and I think his name was Arif, he was very friendly and welcoming.
On entering the room, it was a decent size for a family. It was clean, it had coffee and tea making facilities, a TV, a fan and towels waiting on the beds. The bath room was a good size, it had a bath/shower and vanity area. Shaving points, bath and shower gel dispensers and it was also clean. There was a few dirty patches but nothing to lose stars over.
I paid extra to pick a room and chose one that overlooked the Buckingham gardens car park, so were able to keep an eye on the car.
I paid for the unlimited breakfasts on both days I was there and I can't complain. There was plenty of cereals, your main cooked breakfast items, bacon, sausages, scrambled egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans. There were pastries, fruit and toast making facilities. They had juice dispensers and a coffee machine which could make lattes etc.
The staff were prompt at removing empty plates, bowls and cups and were constantly busy.
Checking out we met Supriya and she was lovely. She was friendly and sent us on our way with such a sweet goodbye.

The car park is located directly under the hotel. You can pay by card or Ringo app. I paid 6.90 for overnight stay. It was full of rubbish and filthy. Whoever owns the car park needs to spend some money on keeping it tidy. Once inside the hotel I was greeted by a very accommodating man on reception,so thanks to him. I had a rim on the fifth floor which was fairly quiet. The room was clean, although as other reviewers gave said it is very small. Ok for one night but you wouldn't want to spend any longer in the room. Didn't use bar or restaurant. Overall ok as Travelodge's go.

One of the worst nights sleep I've ever had, if I can even call it sleep. There is an extremely loud air handling unit in the car park at the back of the hotel which kept us awake pretty much the whole night. I'd advise you getting a room on the front facing side of the building if you stay here. Other reviews mention the smell too, can confirm, there's some smells for sure in the corridors.

Staff are lazy and refuse to clean what appears to be puke remnants. They were informed of the issue around 22:00 and this review is being written at 00:30. The restaurant/bar closes early with no warning and the staff fail to inform customers that the restaurant stops taking orders at 21:30 at check in but are quick to try upwell on breakfast deals. Avoid this hotel unless you want to deal with laziness and lackluster service.
