I?ve donated here a few times as the parking is convenient, but unfortunately the experience is consistently unpleasant. The volunteers are unfriendly and make you feel very unwelcome ? no greeting, no smile, just a blank stare and a curt ?put the donations there?. A simple hello or thank you would go a long way. It?s disappointing, especially when other charity shops are far more warm and appreciative. As someone who used to run a charity, I know how important it is to value donors. I won?t be donating here again. The volunteers could really benefit from better training or a reminder of why they?re in this role.

I went in on Tuesday to donate some books and some other bits and Angie (a staff member) helped me on where I should put my items, and had a friendly conversation with me!
Very pleased with my experience and will be going back!

The place was very spacious. However, the staff and the attitude was terrible, very moody and embarrassed me, I came to donate some things and was hoping to buy some books as I thought they had a huge selection (I thought). While I was waiting in a line and a lady in front of me was waiting. However, the girl who was working their spoke to me and asked me what I was doing and what I was donating. I told her books and toys and her colleague Jason told me to turn around and leave it in a trolley but no sign or indication. It put me off from buying anything and normally I don't regret anything on things but I do buy donating to this organisation. I didn't even know where to leave the items if there was a sign. I never will be coming back again and instead go to cancer research as the staff are very lovely.

Rude behaviour of the staff

The shop is spacious and has convenient parking. However, I found the staff to be unhelpful and disinterested on three separate occasions when I attempted to donate items. During my last visit, I stood at the counter, and the staff member simply stared at me without acknowledging my presence or offering assistance. When I offered to donate some books, I was instructed to place them in a cage, then told they needed to remain bagged. This created a logistical problem, so I left with the books.

Store is nice and one can get nice things for much better prices specially for good used items but the staff especially the old guy just bursted over my kid few days back as he unintentionally stepped on one of the sofa. I am not defending my kid's mistake but he should not be that rash the way he did. My kid was just frightened the way he bursted. We have always been very respectful towards them and are there regular customers.
Today that guy was not in probably and and the staff just closed the doors around 16:30 and in spite of listening to the knocking sound they just ignored. The official time of keeping the store open is till 17:00 and they didn't even bothered to respond.
The service is becoming pathetic day by day as if we are purchasing things for nothing. We have been paying to purchase, not getting the things as charity or free of cost. If same attitude will go on then definitely they might loose their regular customers and the core cause of this store will just go in bin. The management should look into the this matter especially the attitude and the way of attending the customers.

One of the most lovely charity shops I?ve been in, really big and loads to look through, all of the staff are wonderful and handle customers very well (even though some customers are stuck up and expect a red carpet to walk on ) the staff work super hard and are a great bunch of people, so I must say I?m not really sure why they are getting bad reviews but I guess they are just one of those customers that expect everyone to fall at there feet..
All in all, I highly recommend paying a visit, also I would like to just say there is a lovely lady called Janet (I think that?s her name) and she always is working hard and so down to earth every time I go in!

The old lady from the staff is super rude.I usually go there, buy and donate stuff. But mostly this old women is super rude towards me and my kids. Feels kinda racist. We always respected them but didn't feel the same way! Not gonna donate anymore to this shop!

Says they close at 5pm but the woman wouldn?t let me in saying they leave at 4.30 when the manager and assistant manager aren?t there?

Horrible experience. Took some drawers I had, absolutely fine, 100% useable with a very small chip on one of drawers, which can be sorted with some wood glue. Doesn't affect use at all! I was told to go back fix it and bring it back, said if I knew how to use would glue I would have done, told in a very rude way that I can go dump it somewhere else! Never going back and will never donate anything to this place!

A person called ?Ang? or angie was very rude. Rushing me out of the shop, shouting ?I want to go home?. Rushing me as I shop. With a rancid attitude problem. Terrible. They were also ?shutting early for training? but as Angie highlighted she wanted ?to go home? I somewhat doubt the managers words
