?Well-equipped toy store with click & collect, baby-friendly facilities, and long opening hours. The aisles are a delight for toy lovers (especially LEGO fans)?just watch your wallet!?

Last weekend, I went to Smith Toys out on Twinches Lane in Slough Retail Park with my little explorer. As soon as we stepped inside, it felt like we?d entered a wonderland?bright, spacious, and packed with toys that seemed to whisper, ?Pick me!?
Navigating the aisles felt effortless, and I loved how everything was neatly arranged?whether it was plush companions, action figures, or puzzles, it all seemed to wait patiently for the perfect child to discover it. It?s the kind of place where I could see my son?s eyes widen with possibility in every direction.
The staff added a personal touch that really elevated the experience. A few of them went out of their way to help us?whether pointing out items I hadn?t noticed or patiently answering my questions about age ranges and product types. Their knowledge and warm demeanour made a big difference.
I?ve heard mixed stories?some folks have run into issues with faulty items or exchange hassles?but at this store, the experience felt smooth and kind. From the moment we arrived to walking out with a little treasure for my son, I felt welcome and at ease

I visited Smyths Toys in Slough last weekend with my nephew, and honestly, it was a great experience from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, his face lit up ? and I don?t blame him. The place is huge, bright, and packed with everything you could imagine, from LEGO and bikes to action figures and board games.
The layout is really well thought-out. It didn?t feel cramped or overwhelming, even though there were quite a few families in there. Aisles are wide, shelves are clearly labelled, and everything felt clean and organised. It?s also really helpful that there's free parking right outside, so it?s easy to get in and out without stress.
One thing I really appreciated was how helpful the staff were. We asked one of the team members for help finding a specific Nerf set, and she didn?t just point us in the right direction ? she actually walked us over, checked if it was in stock, and even recommended a similar set that was on offer. She seemed genuinely happy to help, which you don?t always get in busy retail stores.
They had loads of stock ? I?ve been to some toy shops where shelves are half empty, but here everything looked full and freshly put out. Prices seemed fair too. Some of the bigger sets were a bit pricey (as expected), but we spotted quite a few deals and discounts around the store.
The only small downside was the queue at the tills ? it moved a bit slowly, but to be fair, it was a Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing with parents and kids. The staff stayed patient and polite, which made the wait more bearable.
All in all, it was a fun and stress-free visit. My nephew left with a big bag and an even bigger smile, and I left feeling like I?d actually enjoyed a trip to a toy store ? which, let?s be honest, is saying something.
I?d definitely come back, especially for birthdays or Christmas shopping. It?s got that perfect mix of variety, good service, and a bit of childhood magic.

Smyths Toys Superstores in Slough offers a wide range of toys, games, and kids? products in a well-organized and spacious layout. The store is clean, easy to navigate, and well-stocked with popular brands and age appropriate sections. Staff were helpful and approachable, making the shopping experience smooth and efficient. A great place for finding gifts or shopping with children, with good parking and convenient access.

Absolutely rude staff, refusing to sell me pokemon box I wanted to buy. Said to me I already came earlier so they won't sell it to me. I told them to check their cameras as I had just entered the store now, didn't come before. They refused and kept telling me they won't sell to me. Didn't listen to me at all I felt like they were racially abusing me as I am a Muslim woman with a hijab and they kept saying I came earlier.

Manager always comes across rude and arrogant like he?s doing you a favour by selling you Pokemon cards. Seems to be on a power trip. I think he?s forgetting that it?s our very custom that is keep stores like Smyths running. Also why is there a limit on booster packs? I can understand boxes limited to 1 per person. But booster packs are limited at 3? It seems to be store specific to just this store.

After today?s visit to this store, I don?t even want to look in its direction again.
I came shopping because a friend told me about a LEGO promotion ? a free limited-edition gift. So I went to the store, picked up a few other things for my child, and went to the checkout to pay.
The cashier scanned my items and didn?t even mention the gift, so I asked about it. She lied to me, saying they had run out because it was a limited offer. I then pointed to the box from which she had just given a gift to the person in front of me.
To cover up, she suddenly changed her story and said she couldn?t give it to me because my child wasn?t physically with me ? apparently, only kids get the gift. Funny, because Smyths in another part of the country gave the gift to my friend?s child without any issue...
I WAS LIED TO AND DECEIVED.
What?s worse, I saw a person who appeared to be of Indian descent receive the gift from another employee, who also seemed to be of Indian descent ? but for others, there were ?none left? or ?you need a kid with you.? What is that? Because I didn?t bring my child? Or because my skin colour didn?t match? This is bordering on racism.
The Slough branch offers customer service that only deserves criticism.
I also intend to contact LEGO customer support directly to ask what the official rules were regarding the distribution of these promotional gifts.

Great store and team members who helped me with a pushchair I had an issue with from another store. They resolved it quickly, listened to all my concerns and got me a replacement then and there. Will be my preferred store everytime! Massive thank you from me and my partner! :)

I went to the store yesterday to buy a Disney Frozen bike for my granddaughter. Th store was empty with only a couple of shoppers. As I couldn't see anyone on the shop floor, I went and asked at the counter for help. This lady Huba came and after checking the stock she said there weren't any in stock, so I asked her if any other store had it and/or if she could get it delivered to the store so that we can the then collect it from there. She said they don't do this and she couldn't tell me if any were going to be delivered in the future. So I asked her if I can take the one from the display if possible She reluctantly agreed and took me ad my husband to the counter. After we paid for the bike she told us that we have to wait for the guy who assembled the bike so that he can give us a three month warranty and the manual but as this guy wasn't there we had to wait. After waiting for 15mts I told her that we don't mind if we don't get the warranty or the manual as we had to leave because we had to pick our grandchildren up from school. She very rudely told us that we cant do that and if I wanted to take the bike I'll have to wait. When I asked her if there was anyone else in the store who could give us the warranty and the manual she told me that there wasn't. I then asked to speak to the manager and was told that he(Sumit) had gone to a conference and she was in charge. I told her that I I'll be complaining about how rudely she had dealt with us, she said it was okay we can do so. We then got a refund and left the store without the bike and with a very unpleasant experience. We will never be returning to this store ever and will tell all our friends and family about our experience. This woman called Heba was more interested in chatting with the staff at the counter then helping customers. I hope that the management can train there staff better and teach them a bit about customer service and experience.

I can't understand the negative comments. I went in the store in the festive season and I had no problems with the staff being rude. They seemed to be busy with customers as it's a busy period which is understandable. I never minded waiting in the queue. People need to stop being impatient and respect the fact we all face these situations at our jobs. I'm a security officer at a busy airport and the rude customers that come and go are nothing like what Smyth toys customers face.

Absolutely pathetic having a slot machine toy on their shelves , whoever thought that this is absolutely what a kid wants has no kids, or is a gambling addict, because that's the only thing this promotes, no kid would know that is let alone have it as a wishlist, will only expose them to it later in life to ruin them. TAKE IT OFF!

Unnecessarily rude staff at customer services. There is a young chap with dark hair called Oliver who works in customer service who has absolutely no grace at all and mocked me for not knowing about the returns policy in full, if he can not take a job with a bit of stress get another one because you are rude young man and other people would be way more appreciative and do a better job than you . The manager named Will is even worse than that. To be fair firstly Will don?t compare your own children to others, secondly I?m happy to recommend training agencies to train you and your rude staff. I would never in my life go back to this store again. I can?t wait for Smyths in Slough to close down. Knowing full well you are dealing with children the staff here need to grow up.
