Dropped in for coffee and cake following a walk around the lake. Staff were polite and chatty. Place is very clean, both inside and out on the terrace where we sat to watch the world go by.
Good view of the lake, also had a buzzard pass overhead whilst we sat eating the cake.
The also do more substantial meals, that looked good, but didn't try.
Good coffee, great location, staff that seem content all add up to a great experience

Had an amazing lunch at San Remo cafe today! Jacket potato was 10/10, cafe was clean and pleasant. Little noisy due to school holidays but expected. Followed by an iced coffee, strong coffee so if you like it weaker make sure to ask for a single shot!

Location is of course superb, and the service is fine but this cafe?s product is awful.
Each time I have a coffee here I hope it will be better but after over x5 attempts it is vile.
Sausages with the breakfast baps I have had (three times) have quite obviously been cooked way in advance and are dry as a cork.
£4 for a cinnamon bun that is cold and clearly not fresh is a joke.
They have the monopoly due to location but I just think it?s such a shame the food and coffee isn?t better quality.

Hugely expensive. Had a Greek salad today which cost £9ish. Chunks of peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers with tasteless pitted black olives and mock feta cheese. No dressing whatsoever, although a lad did bring out some oil when asked as a goodwill gesture. Goodness knows what they did to the pita bread which was chewy and slimy. Won't be having that again.
Parking: Busy car park as children are on summer holidays.

Nice location. Great for children to have something to eat. Walking around Black Park makes you feel thirsty especially on a hot summers day. Certainly worth a visit.. Car parking is expensive though.
Parking: Expensive to say the least. £4.20 for two hours.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of things to do for children.

Wonderful little spot. Great for families, pets are welcome. Good selection of basic dishes, such as sandwiches, chips, pasta, bakery and ice cream. Staff are well organised and able to serve a large number of customers at once with ease. Always clean and well maintained, cosy and friendly atmosphere. They offer hire for private events and parties too. Highly recommend.

Second visit and yet again another appalling and disappointing experience. Food is super basic, which isn?t a massive problem.
But the staff?ridiculous, rude, dismissive and slightly arrogant. On my first visit, three ladies just stood and spoke amongst themselves before taking our order, it was our first time visiting yet no instructions on where culture was or the fact you have to collect your own drink. The lady then shouted across the seating area that I had to collect my coffee.
New staff or training is a must. Such a shame because it?s a beautiful park.

A child could make a better sandwich... Ordered the cheddar sandwich at £5 to find regular grocery bread and cold cheese with a bad smell. Charging such an exorbitant price for something of this poor quality is extremely disappointing. Staff were unhelpful and refused to refund the amount. The experience was mediocre at best. The only good part was the omelette and chips.
