We went to the Cafe in The Meadows store in Camberley.for a drink this morning. As cardholders we get free hot drinks. First problem was that many people have trouble working out how to use the self service ordering, 2nd was using our vouchers, a tiny button right at the bottom, you obviously don?t want us to use them!! There were not enough staff either at the ordering machines to help people, or clearing tables! It was shocking, I only saw one man slowly clearing tables, with many people looking for clean ones. Come on M & S, you can do much better than this!!! A lovely new restaurant, get more staff in there!!!!

Haven?t been since October 2022 and just been on Mother?s Day 2023 the place has changed so much. You are allowed to self scan your clothes by yourself along with the food. My daughter loved the small shopping trolleys and wants to go back next week.It was great in the cafe. I think the team leader on the floor was counting his tables numbers out aloud but it made my daughter laugh every time he went pass along with him saying oh it?s hot in here fanning himself down with a tray great customer satisfaction.

service in cafe so slow. Dirty tables takes ages to get cleared. Staff need motivating, they seem like zombies. Also far to expensive.

Lovely food in restaurant but the music in the store is rubbish so loud. Even the staff cannot take anymore. Please explain why such awful music. The store itself much improved, good selection.

Amazing clothes section and home section.The food department is abit bad but be extra careful with the fruits and vegetables but other than its a fantastic place.

Visited the cafe this morning and it was a terrible experience! I ordered 2 coffees and 2 cooked breakfasts for myself and brother.The ordering system is not great and then waited over 30 mins and was concerned as people were complaining and asking for refunds due to inadequate food or long waits. My latte was lukewarm and the breakfasts were stone cold.The staff however were pleasant especially Ian who had a queue of people complaining and wanting refunds.I did receive a refund but the experience was so bad I would never again eat at the cafe.The new refurbishment has clearly not worked as it?s chaotic and before it worked so well and the food was hot.10/10 for Ian but sorry 0/10 for the food and experience.

Cafe closed for months for a refurbishment and when it opens it has turned into McDonald's!Zero Customer service- which for me was what made it a pleasant experience, to plan a trip to this store and take a break during shopping. There is no alternative to the digital boards and no assistance should you needed it. Horrible drab interior and filthy tables. Won't be bothering again- am cancelling my Premium Club with hot drink vouchers.

Went to the new cafe today with 2 friends. Not keen on being only able to order by machine as not everyone wants to pay by card. Took much longer to order basic coffee and cake. My friend ordered a fruit scone which was burnt and hard. They did exchange the scone but 2nd one was as bad. Also 2 of cups delivered were dirty. Would certainly not recommend this cafe - M&S are alienating their core customers

I visited today with my Mother and am not impressed with the new layout/system and our hot drinks were warm NOT hot and the had to be drank in one go. The hot chocolate was purely a bit of power and warm water!!! Basically an AWAFUL experience!

The refurb makes for a muddly shopping experience. The layout is confused and doesn?t flow. By losing the tills with a predominantly automated system, the store has become impersonal and soulless. Greetings cards are in short supply and barely any Christmas cards available. The cafe touch screen, reminiscent of Mc Donalds leaves customers uninspired and once again, little human interaction. There should be an order point as an option as people eat with their eyes as much as want to deal with another person. They have clearly cut staff to pay for this robotic new shopping style and it?s a shame. It has lost its integrity in my opinion and in doing so, lost its soul & my loyal custom. Disappointed

Very busy today. The food hall was a nightmare of customers milling round in circles.Maybe M&S might consider solo shopping?

Customer service is shocking and very patronising!!!! If you want any answers about products you have to drive to the actual store!!!!
