Another great Friday night with the lads, staff are always happy and friendly. Atmosphere in this pub beats any other pub in the area. Food always amazing would highly recommend.

We have used this place before for a overnight stay whilst seeing a show at The Mill at Sonning. It's a no thrill hotel, which is fine for our purpose. Just a few points to mention on this visit. The TV seemed to be out of focus. Heater in the room was not working, told a member of staff on reception when I found someone. They said that the manager would look at it or give us a portable heater, NOTHING happened. To use the peep hole in the door, you need to be about 6 feet ?. We had a drink in the bar on our return to the hotel after the play at The Mill at Sonning. The bar staff were attentive and polite and prices are pretty good. I'm not that keen on dogs in pubs, especially if eating food, just not my thing !! The 4g signal in the part of the hotel where room 12 was, was not very good. So I used their WiFi which was very good, however, I really don't like giving my life history to sign in and use it !!

I recently visited for breakfast, and unfortunately, my experience was not great. I ordered the English breakfast, but the quality of the food left much to be desired.
The sausages were rubbery and tough, the mushrooms had 0 colour of them. Additionally, the bacon wasn?t cooked properly.
The quality of the food just wasn?t up to par. I hope this feedback can help improve the breakfast offerings.

Food was very bad, we had to send steak back because it was inedible. Swapped it for a beef burger to playbot safe but never got offered anything in return for the loss of price difference between dishes. Lady was nice about it but all other staff made us feel awkward and unwelcome because of what happened. We didn't order pudding so we went to the nearest place instead.
A very bad experience and the chef must be inexperienced because all the food was nasty!

A large group of us went for dinner tonight and despite being rushed of their feet the staff couldn?t have been more accommodating and the food was delicious! Thanks Natalie, Dan, Fergal, Sam and the chefs, everyone was very happy :)

Good price for a room for one night for two people. Room was good overall and the pub was generally quite nice. Had drinks upon arrival and breakfast the next morning which was nice and a good price for what was offered.
Would stay again.
Rooms: Good size room with a comfy double bed and sofa with a pull-out bed beneath. Large TV and nice bathroom.
Only one pair of sockets at the desk so could be improved with a socket near the bed to charge devices over night.
Room did have an odd smell upon entering that I couldn't place and the room was very warm overall.
Bathroom door did not shut fully and could not be locked.
Overall good for a night, but could do with some improvements.
Food and drinks: Had breakfast and the food was nice with a cooked breakfast/continental for £9. Decent price for what was offered.

A good selection of food and drinks at a reasonable price. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with a bad quality piece of steak. It was cooked as asked but it wasn't edible. Couldn't even cut it with a steak knife. We sent it back and the manager swapped the meal for a burger at my request but the meat quality on that wasn't great either so my niece went hungry. We had to go and ask for the difference in price to be settled and the barman gave us a pint of coke to cover the difference. Food quality just not great on this occasion which put a damper on our day as it was a treat.

Stay here whilst I'm working away. Rooms need updating....however the food makes up for that
