Hands down one of the best Waterstones I've ever visited! Open plan, armchairs and sections dedicated to Jane Austen/ Paddington/Snoopy/mushrooms. They also have a few jellycats. The sale section is good and the staff are friendly. Definitely worth a visit!!

Unfortunately I?ve just had the worst customer service ever!!
I went into store on Monday and ordered a John Grisham novel. I received a text message as promised a couple of days later to advise the book had arrived and could be collected.
Today ( Friday) I went back into store. The staff member behind the till took my name and off she went. Returning 10 minutes later, saying she couldn?t find the book and asked if I went by another name. I gave my surname, reference number and the name of the book. Another 10 minutes and she returned saying she couldn?t find anything. At that stage I asked to speak to the manager on duty. A man approached me asking how he could help. I asked if he was the manager and he said no. Again, I asked to speak to the manager?..15 minutes later?.. still no manager.
I guess business in this store must be great.
I go into a store to support those retailers still paying rent during these tough times. Unfortunately Waterstones failed to deliver any service.
I guess I now need to join all the other people who buy in line. Something which I avoid at all costs.
Well done Waterstones and I hope your store doesn?t close because of this terrible lack of service

Every time we visit a Waterstones store, we?re met with the same wonderful atmosphere ? warm, welcoming, and filled with the magic of books. The staff are always kind, polite, and professional.
We have a special love for Waterstones (Reading), as this is where our daughters had the chance to meet Annabel Steadman and get their Skandar books signed ? an unforgettable experience!
Whenever we're in town, visiting this shop has become a lovely family tradition.

This is an impressive, calm, transcending place. A book store will never lose its values, technology will always try to compete with this but will never get near the smell and feel of Waterstones. You will get recommendations at the till in case you have no idea where to start from. Step in and let your senses chose your path.

It?s great! Everyone is so friendly and happy to help you find any book and even have a little chat! Bookshops are always my comfort zone because of the smell of paper and ink, but the staff here make it feel like a home ??
