Stayed over in this hotel last night and what an absolute disaster. We went to the festival and booked a family room in this hotel, only to find out early hours in the morning that they were unable to give us the room we had paid for and was going to send us off to a different hotel at 2am, and we are also all young girls. We then were told we could stay in the hotel but we would have 2 single beds, therefore leaving us all sharing 2 single beds between the 4 of us. I would not recommend this hotel at all, and the rooms are in a serious need of a refurbishment.

Stayed at a he travel lodge for just over a week Lisa the hotel manager was amazing so helpful very helpful friendly and couldn?t of done more for me and my family out of all of the hotels I have stayed at Lisa stood out and went above and beyond for us super professional lovely lady wish more hotels had a Lisa

Spent a couple of weeks here
The rooms were large and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was was also large with plenty of hot water for the shower. The shower power was not the strongest but it was suitable. Noise? From people staying at the hotel it was very quiet, but the carpark is shared with the World Turned Upside Down pub and sometimes there was a bit of noise, but as it closed at 22.00 it was not a problem.
They do a breakfast box that consisted of a bowl of cornflakes, milk, bottle of water, flapjack and a pastry for 6.95 and I did a job in the morning
All of the staff are great here and very helpful

Clean. Bed, toilet, shower, classic weird extra chair, exactly what you would expect. Only 4 stats as it could do with aircon.

Nice and close to family for us but typical Travelodge. Clean and comfortable which was a bonus.

Even for a Travelodge, this one is truly awful. No air conditioning, nothing has been replaced since the 80s, including the mattresses.

Not bad rooms. Pillows are only one style so hard to get comfortable. Rooms updated which means a lick of paint, swap old sockets to new usb ones. New curtains. Wall tiles in bathroom are still old and so is the bath. Desks are still old. Cheap upgrades to a dated hotel. Floors are thin and you can hear loads of banging. Bathroom door needs soft closing and a better latch other than pull hard to slam.
Negatives out of the way, the staff were lovely which does go along way to making the hotel nice. Stone house pub next door great with great staff too. Free parking and parking for large vans which is also a bonus.

Rooms and amenities are pretty standard, lots of space and comfy bed. It's a good budget friendly option. Staff is always so friendly and helpful. Karen in particular has been so accommodating and sweet! The hotel was quite far from where I needed to go, so I thought of cancelling my stays and looking for an alternative, however, she has made my experience so much better, and I decided to attend all pre-booked stays, and I'll be happy to visit again whenever I'm in town.
