I had a very bad experience at Calcot Timpson. I went there for a car key for my Nissan Note 2008, but the staff member was not helpful at all. He quoted me a very high price, which I was not expecting. I asked if they had something around £80, since one of my friends had a key cut there for that price. However, he told me they only had one option for £192.
While I was parked, I checked on Google and saw a price of around £89. When I went back to the store, it was closed until 13:45, so I had to wait. After he returned, he admitted they did have the £89 option, but then said it wouldn?t fit my car and gave more excuses.
Because of all this delay, I may even receive a parking ticket, since I exceeded the parking time. The staff member seemed completely uninterested in helping and had no supportive approach. I believe he joined Timpson in 2023.

Went to get watch battery?s changed. The man who changed them was friendly and helpful.. change two battery?s quick and easy.

Timpsons Calcot is the only place in the Reading area where they can cut car keys which can also lock/unlock car doors. Having lost some keys, I went to this store where I was able to get these cut and tested. Great service. Its best to go onto Timpsons website and look up whether they can cut your key.

Destroyed our curtains then fob you off with their damage waiver will never use a timpsons again. would have been cheaper to just buy new curtains.

Been to this shop twice in the last year as it is in Sainsbury's . Once to get heels renewed on a pair of mens Clarks shoes and last time for a replica of a normal type of garage door key. In the first case he said they didn't stock the heels. and in the second case they couldn't get blanks for that sort of key. Not good for even basic things. The local cobblers a couple of miles away were able to do both. They get a 5 star rating.

Absolutely flabbergasted by the poor level of customer service received at the Calcot branch
I had some keys cut and asked to purchase a small key ring, however when I was handed the keys it was on a ring anyway so asked if I could change my mind and not have the key ring
I was quite bluntly told that it couldn?t be reversed from the till once it had been entered, I questioned this as it seemed unbelievable (how are refunds processsed, if something is registered incorrectly how is it corrected?)
After remarking on his hostility and absolute unhelpfulness I was told I could go elsewhere!
Imagine losing 24.50 for the sake of 1.50?
Is this really representative of Timpson stores across the country??

Disappointed- had two life time battery for two watches. Both have died out! Hubby went back few months ago and the chap refused one saying it?s the incorrect watch! However the battery that he renewed, has died out again! I?ll be going back, let?s see what happens!

Dropped off shoes a week ago. On the day I wanted to pick them up I admittedly was running a bit late, but was still surprised to find it closed 5 minutes before closing time with no-one in sight. Meaning it probably closed well before that. This means an extra trip for me to pick up my shoes, costing me time and money.
I would have understood if they had just finished running the register, but it being completely dark means they must have closed at least 10-15 minutes early. Not good customer service.

Needlessly Expensive! Had made a set of 3 keys in Timpsons Coventry, it cost me £13(3 for 2). Did the same thing here 4 weeks later, it cost me £18(3 for 2).
I then asked the attendent if he could cut 4 passport photographs printed in the photo booth besides, he said unfortunately not, cause it wasn't printed here. Yeah maybe he was right, but just felt dull and robotic!

Typical Timpsons. Chap behind the counter refused to copy a basic Ikea desk key, stating it was the wrong shape and they can't get the rare blanks. Got it done at a local independent place instead, who even use the same brand of blanks!

Scott was amazing at Calcot earlier this week! Went above and beyond trying to figure out how to fix my car key, ran out in the pouring rain 3 times to my car to get it working. Top service, thank you very much!!
