Beautiful place to stay, the staff were fantastic, good breakfast and the room I had was perfect as I was there for an extended stay. Location of hotel is just far enough away from maidenhead, windsor, Reading and ascot that it was quiet but was close enough that I could get to them within 15 minutes.

Our Stay at The Bird In Hand?.We stayed there for 1 night for a business trip. Absolutely fantastic!Lovely setting, beautiful interior and our room was gorgeous. We stayed in the Windsor suite which was fantastic. Lovely big bath and a fantastic shower. Nice big comfortable bed and everything you could want. Great little extras like small bottle of milk in the fridge instead of those annoying little cartons!!All the staff we encountered were friendly, polite and could not do enough for you?can?t praise them enough. They do a fantastic job of making you feel at home away from home. The food?.the pictures speak for themselves. The food was amazing! One of the best steaks I?ve ever eaten! Breakfast was also fantastic and just tasted of quality.Would 100% recommend and will be my ?go to? when staying in the area on business

Service was excellent, a good balance between being aware of customers without being pushy. The food was excellent, will definitely visit again.

Updated review after most recent stay:We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay last night!Everyone was friendly, service was great, dinner was really good, but breakfast was the standout of the visit. We both went for the smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough toast. It was all delicious but I actually thought it was the sourdough that was the best part. Not too thick, not toasted beyond repair, it was excellent! The room was big and comfortable (we were in the George III), shower had nice water pressure, and everything was spotlessly clean! After our previous visit, this stay changed our opinion and we'll definitely be back again.Previous review:What was supposed to be a lovely stay for the night of my wedding turned out to be an incredibly stressful start to the day. We'd booked the room for 2 nights so we could check-in the day before and we wouldn't have to worry about checking in late or asking someone to do it for us. It made it more expensive, but we thought it'd make it much easier on the day so would be worth it.It also meant I could get there early, have breakfast, and get ready without risk of spilling something on my clothes before I even got to the venue!I got there in plenty of time, but even though it wasn't busy and I'd placed my order they decided the best person to forget to place an order for would be me. I chased twice and was told it was coming, but by the third time I had to leave. It left me hungry and stressed on the morning of my wedding, but luckily family came through and brought some food to the venue.I got a refund for the breakfast and barely an apology, I definitely wouldn't recommend.

Sorry, but poor service upon arrival, wasn't welcomed, but told room wasn't ready. Didn't recognise staff as they were in there own clothes. At breakfast, asked for less, but had to wait longer, only one other person came in after us and was served before us. Coffee was luke warm, and the smallest pot of beans on my plate, streaky bacon was horrid. No one came to ask if everything was OK during breakfast and upon checkout, they were more interested in if we had had anything from the mini bar, than how our stay was. The bed was comfortable in the room, however very poor lighting, the radiator in the bathroom did not work, only had a cafetiere for coffee and kettle etc was in front of the tv. No plugs to charge phone, had to unplug the radio. Room looked nice, but upon deeper inspection paint was shoddy and mould in bathroom, as the fan wasn't working. Food was very pricey and nothing for kids.

It would have been nice to have the fire lit as it was a bit chilly inside

Went for Sunday lunch and it was wonderful. The team were welcoming and very pleasant, especially with children, and the food was very very good pub food. Delicious roasts. The desserts were all great, loved the lotus biscoff doughnuts. Delicious! Also reasonably priced. Will return.

We only visited the pub, I really liked the place, it was cozy, there was a fireplace. You can come with your dog. The food is very tasty. The service is excellent.

Unfortunately the room we were given, ground floor looked extremely tired, very noisy and not clean at all. Manager updated to another room upstairs and this was much better. Food was very good and the staff were excellent. Location very good as long as you have a car.Rooms: Can do with a good refurbishment. ?
