The Bell serves what is quite possibly the best cheese toastie on the planet. Buttery, crisply-toasted beer bread with a generous melted cheese filling and three sharp pickles on the side - perfection. £7.50 worth of pure joy, best accompanied by a pint of local ale in this beautiful, traditional country pub.

Fantastic setting for a proper village community pub, visited by walkers, cyclists and Morris dancers. It has plenty of outside seating, but can be rather cramped inside.
The have an excellent choice of beers and ciders, but a limited menu.

We are visiting from Canada and we were on the search for an authentic English pub. This is not as easy as you would think and in visiting family here they say they have become few and far between. The Bell was a fantastic find. Met local folks and they were friendly and inviting. Had a great lunch and enjoyed a fine pint. The fire was burning and the atmosphere was warm and wonderful. Absolutely the best!!

A really lovely welcome in the bar, nice and cozy, the fire was roaring, a lovely lunch time treat. We had a sausage sandwich and fries, there was plenty to eat and tasted delicious, all good quality foods. I didn't get a photo of the food as we devoured it do quickly, it was a really good size portion and tasty
