I don?t usually give feedback however the staff were the most unfriendliest, rudest people. "They were not busy; I was the only customer, yet the staff were uninterested in serving me at all. I asked for a napkin as the box was empty, and the staff smirked at me for asking. It literally spoiled my day.

Just ordered food here, but they got the order wrong and charged us for items we didn?t receive. Unfortunately, we were in a rush and didn?t notice until we were already on the train. Now we have one very upset daughter.

Tea is made in hot/boiling water, Not warm water! I returned the tea, but the staff just topped it up with more warm water; I left the tea/did not take it as I was going to be late for my train. It's absolutely terrible, it's ok to make mistakes, but it's not ok not to know how to correct them.

Here's a thought, if you're out of sweet items, maybe don't leave one on display...customers don't know that means it's a display one, it looks like there's one left, so maybe just take them off entirely like every other shop does

I visited this Starbucks twice earlier this week, and the two young baristas a man and a woman were both very friendly. However, today I was served by a middle-aged female, and I couldn?t help but feel that she displayed some Linguistic Profiling towards me. Unfortunately, this is a reality that I?ve grown used to while living in the UK.
When I ordered ?Oat milk?, perhaps my pronunciation of the ?O? wasn?t clear enough, and it might have sounded more like ?Art milk?. Even though she clearly understood what I meant, she didn?t ask for clarification. Instead, she slightly raised her voice and repeated ?Oat milk? in a correcting tone, which came across as dismissive.
To be fair, I understand that pronunciation differences can cause confusion. It reminded me of when my Pakistani friend pronounced ?Popeyes? as ?Bobeye? ? it took me a couple of seconds to figure it out, and I asked with a smile, ?What?s Bobeye? Oh, Popeyes!? In situations like this, it?s better to pretend to be puzzled and clarify politely rather than correcting someone in a condescending way. That?s the art of conversation, regardless of age or experience.
Then she asked for my name. I said ?Ms Wu?, and after pausing for a second, she immediately said, ?Shall I put T instead?? without waiting for my response and wrote down ?T?. That felt dismissive, making the whole ?asking for a name? process seem pointless. If writing names feels like a hassle, why not use order numbers instead? Why bother asking if the response won?t be taken seriously? I?m sorry she had to write down names on a busy weekend morning.
As someone who speaks more than five languages, I fully understand that pronunciation differences can cause communication issues. But politeness and a genuine attitude should be the standard in customer service, not this sort of dismissive behaviour.
I realise she might have been trying to process a long queue quickly, which is understandably stressful. But confirming a name only takes three seconds. Why did ?W? turn into ?T?? I can?t tell if she truly misheard me or simply didn?t care to listen. I?m not a difficult customer; I don?t expect over-the-top friendliness, just basic respect and attention.
I?ve worked in the restaurant and retail industry for over five years, so I fully understand her challenges. However, I?m not a difficult customer. If I were being rude, then feel free to be rude back. But I?m just a calm Asian lady.

Worst customer service I?ve ever encountered. Ordered 2 good to go bags to be told they don?t have any even, though there was still pastries and food there. just told me to request a refund even though you could still order from the app. The small lady behind the counter was rude and had no interest in helping. I can?t believe people like this are allowed to work in a customer facing role. I think Starbucks should pay more attention to the staff they?re hiring.
Safe to say I will not be going back there!

The staff serves so slowly, and without any expression in the morning. The price is higher than any other Starbucks outside the station. I ordered a medium size one, but it contained a small size coffee.
AGAIN? THIS IS A MEDIA SIZE COFFEE

Staff are really lovely. The sad thing is they don't know how to make a flat white. Don't boil the milk.

Worst Starbucks ever. The tables were filthy, the staff were more interested in chatting with each other than serving customers. My sandwich was overheated and cheese went everywhere.

Staff had a great sense of humour. The team at Reading Starbucks were as big a pick up as the coffee.
