The blonde guy that actually fills your prescription is lovely, however I have been in countless times an just been ignored whilst people that came in long after me have been served and left before I have even been spoken to. Really poor and needs to be sorted.

Always have good service here. Prescriptions ordered 4 weekly. Always ready for collection 2 - 3 days later as notified.

Never enough staff. There appears to be more pharmacies then counter staff and you always have to write your name on a piece of paper so they can find your medication. Always queues.

Dr Helen Paige is a disgrace to doctors and makes up part of the reason this world is not as pleasant as it could be.If you?re unfortunate enough to be appointed her, you?ll be sure to waste your time.

We had an unpleasant experience this morning and will not go to this pharmacy again.Having visited our GP, my wife and I went to this pharmacy next door for our prescription. My wife wrote down her name and DOB per request, and walked to the back of the shop to wait together with few other customers. Having waited for about 25 mins, I went to walk around the area for about 20-25 mins and back to find my wife still waiting quietly at the back when all other customers in the shop were not the same as I left. I went up to the counter and waited for the lady staff to finish with one customer then asked her for how much longer we had to wait since we had been there for over 45 mins. She asked us to write the patient's name and DOB on a piece of paper again then walked away for her other duties. Having waited for another few mins, I asked the same staff when we would have our prescription prepared. Forgetting what she said to me but obviously it wasn't a direct reply so after a while I started to ask again calmly "can you tell me how long I have to wait" & "can someone tell me how long I have to wait". This staff came to me and said "Sir, I don't accept rude person here in this pharmacy, and just wait wait, I am not shout to you" then she walked away to serve another customer. **As I was feeling something was not right, I switched my mobile to the 'record' mode and recorded this part of conversation so I have solid proof to show how calm I was at the moment and how rude this staff was towards a customer who had been totally neglected for almost an hour in this tiny shop**.I went back to the surgery next door and the receptionist checked and confirmed to me that the prescription was sent to the pharmacy at 10:40am (exactly one hour before). When I went back to the pharmacy, my wife was finally collecting her prescription and we eventually left with a very unpleasant experience. It is a pharmacy we will never go back!!

Do i have to give it one star ? Honestly, the worst experience of a pharmacy i have ever had. Put name on a piece of paper, then asked 10 minutes later "what are you collecting ?" then after a further 30 mins told they don't have it in stock, and missed one needed medicine out all together because they didn't check the prescription i was collecting, Have asked Dr to send prescriptions elsewhere in future. Avoid at all cost !!!!!!!!!!!

Long bank holiday and no information online or at the location about actual opening times. Frequent long queues, whilst numerous additional staff are preparing prescriptions, oblivious to the additional demand. More focus on customers needed.

This dispensing chemist is found under the same roof as Balmore Park Surgery but exists and operates under the chemist Rowlands Pharmacy.Have used them several times and all occasions had been really poor service.1st time - with my prescription in hand from the doctor, I asked them if they had the quantity (3 months supply) of tablets in stock so that I don't have to come back again. The older asian male wearing glasses with the shirt and tie then went to the back to check.....only to come back and tells me that they need to order more and asked me to come back the next day to collect. Even though I asked them to CHECK before putting the prescription through, they very conveniently ignored my request. I asked to have my prescription back so I could go somewhere else, they replied its too late, its been "processed".2nd time - submitted a repeat prescription in Rowlands Phamacy's box labeled "repeat requests only please allow SIX working days" (Used to be 4 working days but increased to 6 due to lack of staff...). Went back on working day 7, my repeat prescription was not ready for collection. Was told to wait approx 20mins. Didn't want to waste my time, I said I will call back the following day. Revisted the following day and was told an item was out of stock and had to re ordered in. Had to call back on working day 9 to collect everything in full.3rd time - late afternoon on a Wednesday, served by an native English speaker female, 35+, dark hair tied back, who greeted me whilst chewing gum. She had previously served me before on another occasion and its not the 1st time she was chewing gum, not particularly polite in a customer facing role. With the paper prescription in hand, I gave her my repeat prescription of 3 months supply of tablets, asked how long it would take due to previous lengthy waits. She replied, "its not rocket science..."4th time - again for repeat prescription, paper one in hand, 4 staffs behind the tall counter, there were 5 other customers waiting, not a single one of them came forward to serve even though they could see us and had made eye contact. After almost 15 minutes, one of them came to the front of the counter and started to serve. Several minutes later, I could see that this was going to be another long wait so I decided to go elsewhere and not waste my time. Some of my friends also have this chemist as their "default assigned" chemist from Balmore Park surgery that they use, my friends have since changed to another one due to the same poor service. As this chemist is under the same roof as the surgery, patients waiting for their prescription to be prepared sit in the waiting area of the surgery, a good few meters away in the open space. The chemist them shouts out the names when the prescriptions are ready, most of the time, the patients cannot hear. This results in patients waiting for a long time, then walk up to the counter to query the lengthy wait, only to be told they had called their name out 30 minutes earlier!I wouldn't be using this Rowlands chemist ever again. Take your paper prescription from your doctor and go to another one that is more efficient and save yourself time having to go back several times. Their staffs lack basic customer service. They need to justify their location for existence, more patients use other chemists and maybe then they might pull their socks up and improve. If you are getting the same poor service, speak to the Balmore Park receptionists and get your "preferred" chemist changed to another one. Poor shops, no matter what they sell, do not deserve your custom if they cannot deliver basic standard of service.

You take your life in your hands here. I changed from Boots because of the number of dispensing errors they made. Unfortunately Rowlands no better. The duty pharmacist was rude and defensive when I questioned a repeat script and blamed the error on him misunderstanding my name, which I had spelled out to him. He then made me wait for a junior assistant to be free to process my payment, while he stood and did nothing. Very unprofessional and unhelpful.

Slow service, wrong prescriptions and lack of interest by the staff. Blame the Surgery for not having a prescription and after checking the surgery gave me the date it was sent to them. Oh yes, we do have it but we haven't done it yet. Still, on the bright side when there is a queue waiting to go in (three at a time only please) they are able to shut for an hours lunch bang on time so somethings working, just not them.

Very rude and dishonest staff. They mess up the medications and makes you run couple of times before they get it right or you check then and there if they have given everything correctly. When caught they dont even apologise and give excuses or just pretend nothing has happened. I am 38 weeks pregnant at the moment and just to get my medicines correctly I have to come to the pharmacy 2 - 3 times before I get everything correctly. There is absolutely no apology given.

Never seem to get prescriptions correct. Either items are missing which you ordered or there are items in your prescription bag which weren?t ordered. Taking the items back that you didn?t order will just be thrown away, it?s such a waste of NHS finances. A few of the staff are friendly and helpful, But others need some training on how to deal with customers in a friendly manner. I?ve been collecting prescriptions here for years, I think changing to another pharmacy is very long overdue.

Service has improved tremendously! I tried 4 other pharmacies to obtain medication for my mum all of them saying it was out of stock, none of them suggested I do. Here the pharmacist was very helpful and organised an alternative prescription relatively quick and didn't have to queue long at all. The new management and staff are definitely heading in the direction. Fast service and helpful.

Extremely poor service. The staff is often rude, unhelpful and uncaring. Service is extremely low. You wait inside with nobody in front of you but nobody bother to ask if you need help. They constantly mess with the prescriptions. Unfortunately not many other pharmacies around here, otherwise they?d be closed by now
