I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent visit to Prezzo on Sunday, 12th January, to celebrate my 4th anniversary with my partner. We chose Prezzo as the restaurant for this special occasion because I received a Buyagift voucher as a Christmas gift from my parents. Having used Buyagift restaurant vouchers before, I have always had smooth and pleasant experiences.
Prior to our visit, I booked a table using the Buyagift voucher code, and the booking was confirmed in the system. During our visit, my partner and I ordered our meals, and when it came time to pay, I showed the waitress the voucher code. To my surprise, she informed me that it was too late to use the voucher and that there was a specific set menu for this offer. This was never communicated to us upon our arrival.
She proceeded to show us the set menu, and while one of our meals aligned with the menu, my partner?s choices did not. I politely asked if any form of discount could be applied due to the misunderstanding, but this request was declined.
Overall, I am deeply disappointed with the experience. The food was mediocre at best, the pasta portions were small, and the total cost was far higher than we have ever paid for a dinner for two.
Furthermore, when the waitress consulted her colleague, the colleague confirmed that the voucher code was indeed in the system. Despite this, the waitress returned without offering an apology or acknowledgment that the booking had been made using the voucher.
This experience was particularly disappointing as it marred what was meant to be a special celebration. I hope this feedback will be taken into account to improve the experience for other customers in the future.

The spaghetti carbonara was an absolute atrocity. It?s hard to believe this abomination was even meant to be food. The pasta was limp and lifeless, drowning in a bland, gluey mess they dared to call sauce. The so-called pancetta? More like strips of soggy cardboard, utterly devoid of flavour and texture. I wouldn?t be surprised if they fished it out of the bin. It?s as if the chef waged war on seasoning and proudly served this disaster as the spoils. Eating this was a punishment I wouldn?t wish on my worst enemy. An insult to Italian cuisine and human taste buds alike.

Nice place with pretty good food. If you?re sat by the door it gets quite chilly as it doesn?t fully close on its own so you have to give it a push to sit in comfort. Atmosphere is a bit loud.

Really nice food great staff quick service can not fault this place me and my partner really enjoyed our first time here great place beer expensive and not much choice 7 pound for a small bottle is to much nice drink tho

Visited with three friends with a 7.30pm booking mid week . Was the worst food and service I?ve ever experienced. I was still eating my starter when when the main arrived. Felt completely rushed. The main pizza was tiny! Definitely not worth £17. We were brought the dessert menus as soon as we finished the mains and said we wanted a little time to think. We all wanted coffee or an affogato, none were available as the coffee machine had been switched off and cleaned. This was about 8.45pm. When we said we wish we were told this when we were given menus the waitress replied ?well I didn?t know you?d take so long to order! . The chef was actually running out the door at 9pm. Really disappointed and would not return

I got an online voucher for Prezzo for my birthday. We had a 3-course meal. The menu was very short, it wasn't a full menu for everyone, but you could choose something good?. We chose meatballs in tomato sauce, breaded mozzarella, pinsa and pasta with chicken and mushrooms and from the children's menu spaghetti bolognese, garlic bread. The desserts and coffee were also delicious. Very nice service and friendly staff. I can recommend it ?

Giving only 2 stars today (in restaurant now) because waitress rushed to take away the food plate from my table when I was finishing it. I had to have my last bite of starters without dip. Why prezzo why !!!!

We visited Prezzo in Reading after receiving a 50% off voucher. The restaurant is in the centre of Reading. The menu is extensive and items are shown with calories. Think carefully about ordering beers. The bottles are small but the prices aren't. The staff were excellent and we weren't charged service charge for two people dining.

Lovely, cozy place, with lovely staff and great vibe!The young lady who served us (blonde/black, short hair, and was working on the 21st of May 2024) was one of the kindest and sweetest waitress I've ever met in my life!Thank you for this wonderful experience :)Something to quote about the food: Both the dish with the sausages and the tuna pizza were tasty, ALTHOUGH they were a bit salty ? Please look at it. :)

Went for lunch today with my daughter and 3 grandchildren. Wow a disaster from the start , order was taken, we waited over an hour for our meals for one not to arrive, we waited and was told another 2 mins it would be , we waited and waited it finally arrived, we began eating, the food was bland needed seasoning at the least, well I got seasoning alright a lovely piece of plastic I found myself chewing on . I could not believe it as I spat it out in my napkin, we were not charged for the late meal or mine but that was the least , they could do.I Will never be returning and would never recommend to anyone ever . It was ment to be a special time spent with my family after completing my cancer treatment. Thanks
