The receptionist was very helpful when helping me move rooms into a spacious accessible room which they adapted to be a twin room, after my trip was extended. However there were multiple problems with the lifts (sometimes with a wait of over 15 minutes and sometimes not working at all which was acknowledged with a note on the second day) which the staff had initially dismissed as the fault of patrons pressing both the up arrow and down arrow to call the lift. When a person applies for an accessible room it is understandable that they are concerned that the lifts don't work and so they are "trapped" unable to go out or make use of the attached Beefeater restaurant. The hotel appears to be surrounded by car sales rooms so isn't immediately identifiable. There is a useful supermarket next door. It is within easy distance to Reading city and the university.Rooms: Both the twin room and the accessible room transformed into a twin were very comfortable. The beds were a suitable height to allow easy access. During the shower there was an increasing deepening level of water in the wet room which made it difficult to safely move away from the shower stoolSafety: During the shower there was an increasing deepening level of water in the wet room which made it difficult to safely move away from the shower stoolThe non-working lifts meant guests with Mobility issues either being "trapped" in the room or struggling to go down and up steep stairs - and nothing appeared to be done about recording what additional help might be needed in the case of an emergencyWalkability: If there are any patrons who have mobility difficulties asking for a low level floor might be a good idea as there seemed to be policy of dismissing concerns over the lifts not working rather than trying to ease problems for the guests or offering a room service for missed meals

Good location, nice rooms apart from splash marks (brown) on the bathroom wall. Bar area is nice, will review breakfast in the morning. The receptionist is very rude and uninviting. I'm sure they aren't all the same, but this is a first impression, maybe he needs some training.

Room was mostly fine, the only downsides were the sink was full of water when I arrived so had to stick my finger in and empty it not knowing if it had been used for anything and the paint in the bathroom was starting to peel off the walls. The breakfast was fine but the coffee maker was out of action so had to stick with granulated necaffe. Thankfully there is a Costa next door.

I stayed here recently for work; I can honestly say I was horrified by the lack of cleanliness in the room I stayed in.I pulled back the duvet cover to check the bed (like I always do) and I saw something on the bed, which stood out against the white bedsheet. I pressed it with my finger and it squashed, to my absolute horror it was a bug of some sort. After this I threw back the duvet to find suspect dark hairs and questionable marks. I then thought to lift up the under cover to see the state of the mattress and it gets worse here because I uncovered dry snot with blood in it. This has to be one of the dirtiest beds/ rooms I have ever encountered.I went straight to reception where I presented them with photos and asks them to see it for themselves. They were unsure at first whether they could find annother room for me and agreed that this room was not in a fit state and apologised. I eventually got re-located to annother room which was clean and was offered a free breakfast which I got anyway.Absolutely disgusting but I do want to say that I have had really good experiences with other Premier inns I have stayed in, just not this one.

This is the epitomy of how we expect a Premier Inn to be. Just amazing. Wished the whole chain was like this one.Rooms: Fantastically clean and feel luxurious.Food & drinks: Lots of food and drink outlets close by, plenty of choice.Noteworthy details: Great parking.

A pleasure. Staff were so lovely and friendly professional and helpfulBreakfast was excellent and the room was excellent.Absolute pleasure again, staff were like old friends, such a lovely welcome and room was greatLovely breakfast too over the two daysSorry to see that due to staff shortage, the restaurant was closed on Saturday nightShameBut the stay was excellentLooking forward to going back in July?????Here we are againIt was lovely to be back and the room was superSo pleased to have air conditioningSorry not to see familisr faces but still got a nice welcomeOur meal was superb on Saturday night and thank you to the staff for being patient after the nightmare we had getting back from Paddington with all the trains being cancelledIt was boiling hot and l was feeling a bit unwell but it was lovely to come back to a nice cool and welcoming hotelOur meal was lovely but l must just say the only disappointment was the young lady who was taking bookings and checking customers in, she seemed to be very distrscted and instead of seeing to customers, seemed to be flitting around all over the place so we were left standing waiting to be seated for nearly ten minutesThe lovely lady behind the bar came out to see if we were OK and seated us at our table and then the young lady messed up a few orders too including the lovely couple we got chatting to next to usWe were on table five and they were on table sevenThat was the only disappointment but the meal was lovely, we really enjoyedGood to be back once againRooms: Our room was very comfortable.

Located a short distance from junction 11 on the M4 in the heart of an out of town retail park. There are plenty of eating places but they are all national chains and include Costa, Beefeater and McDonalds. Breakfast and evening meals are available. The accommodation is ample for short stays; rooms are clean, smart, well maintained with basic amenities including air-conditioning and comfortable beds. No mini fridges or complentary water. Naturally the views aren't great but this is not a country park hotel. Parking is free. Wheel chair access is not a problem though the bathroom in our room had no mobility aids.
