The quality of the food is excellent. Variety of products is good but not the best. The shop is also clean and the staff are helpfull. Personally i find it a bit more expensive than it should be especially for things like fruit and vegetables (whose quality is not always consistent/good). Lastly i dont like the constant rearrangement of products. It makes shopping tiring and time consuming.

I am a regular shopper. On a hot day nice & cool but can get a bit cold. Have lots of different areas chilled, frozen, refrigerated- a bakery section, Fruits veg, flowers, wines & beers, frozen, meat, fish, deli, organic etc. It is quite big & spacious which I like. I have not taken pictures but will soon. Yellow stickers for reductions bring the price down. Self checkout with help & staff checkout.
Sell clothing men, women & children. Also homeware, bedding, towels. There is a cafe as well. Also toilets but not great. Offer currency exchange.
There is another small M & S at the train station.

I have been to M&S twice this week because sale. I mistaken added a trousers I supposed to removed. Which I realised when I was folding the material since is 70% no refund no exchange. I told the lady please I need to remove the trousers because is a big size. She told me no, since you paid that will be it no exchange .or refund. One British lady name Dotty was passing by she stopped and I told her what going on, straight way she said you can be refunded you have not left the store. Immediately she called their managing level they said and reconfirmed since i haven?t left the store they can refund. Which the non-British lady reluctantly refunded me. Please I am not British.

Popped in for sone bits to make a fish pie and couldnt find any bechamel sauce, The manager (jack?) really went out of his way to help me out checked all the spots then when we couldnt find anything i went to the checkout and as i was checking out he ran over with some for me last minute, top service, give him a raise.

Please employ staff who at least somewhat look like they are not the most miserable people on earth, now I see this more and more with the staff being employed, compared to what it was, the staff now need extreme training on customer service

I would like to mention Ms. Elisa of women's undergarments in the fitting room area (Filipino staff). She's very accommodating and friendly. Thank you for assisting and guiding me to what size and design I should wear. 10/10 for the Excellent service. Thank you! I'm sorry, I don't have her photo.

Love m&s, however in Reading, the shop is not well stocked and newer products are not on the shelves, compared to m&s in other places, which is such a shame
