Food was super nice, the atmosphere was lovely and would be a great place for a chill catch up. I mistakenly messed up my own order (didn?t read the menu properly and ordered something I didn?t like) and they were super accommodating and changed it for me free of charge. Lovely place highly recommend.

This cafe truly deserves the praise. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming - exactly the cosy vibe you look for when going to a cafe. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. It is evident that they truly care about the experience they're creating. The food I ordered was delicious! From the smoothie to the oreo waffle, everything was neatly presented and tasted amazing. The bagels were also one of the best! Even if you're not a coffee lover, there are so many other options for you to choose from so I will highly recommend this place! 10/10 experience!!!

Lincoln Coffee (location formerly Workhhouse coffee at George Hotel) is looking much tidier since they took it over. Food and coffee is also great and bagels are a great idea offering something that I don?t think is common in Reading instead of just selling the same stuff all the other coffee places do. Will be making regular visits I think

This review is for the new shop opening in town centre
Great option for coffee if you want to avoid chains in the town centre. Chocolatey and slightly deep followed by a soft sweetness from the milk. The drink is well balanced and coffee beans not roasted too dark. As you let it cool down, the more nuanced flavours begin coming out revealing pleasant notes signalling the coffee has been roasted to a good standard. The interior leans more into an old school vibe with the choice of colours and furniture going in line with the building the coffee shop is based in.

Update July 2025: Still a great little coffee house. Solid selection of bagels, great coffee and friendly staff. The smaller store is the perfect spot for a grabbing a bite to eat and the larger new location further down kings road has a lot more seating and some lovely waffles if you want something sweet.

Nice coffeeshop, the coffee was good but not one of the best. Shortbread cakes were nice too. The positives are certainly the environment - nice place and atmosphere.

The bagels are nice and the coffee as well. The only downside are the opening times :very reduced. If you are a 9 to 5 worker you will never have the chance to visit it

Had very bad experience at this coffee shop, staff were rude unprofessional behavior. Ordered food and tea to have in and one of the colleagues there was making the bagels then she sat at one of the big tables which is meant to be for customers. When I asked to sit there as it was big table and we were two people, she claimed that she was a customer and acted like she was out of work, even though she didn?t have coffee and food on the table and at the same time she had already chosen the bagels for us 2 minutes before that . When I complained to other staff members, she didn?t apologise and she was very rude and called me an idiot for complaining, her name was (Susana, an Asian girl)! Very unprofessional, they have no manners and didn?t even offer to refund my money back although I didn?t eat and I immediately left Very bad customer service and I will even take it further.

An hour and half train ride from home, I pop in for breakfast before a meeting. I had amazing home roasted coffee that reminded me I do like coffee, a freshly prepared bagel and amazing service
I felt comfortable, looked after and like I'd made some friends before I left.
10/10 recommend, I'm gutted there so far from home!
