Staff were tired and It seemed like they were forced to work. They were not happy at all when I asked them something. Very poor services!

I can't thank Rubi enough for keeping my (forgotten) shopping bag behind the counter last Saturday. To say she went above and beyond to help me. So very grateful.
I must say Woodley Lidl is a great store, although I have 3 other stores within a similar distance, it is my favourite, the team are always lovely, we understand that they need to hurry customers through as quickly as possible, however I never feel rushed. They are respectful of my senior years.
Well done to the team.

I used to quite enjoy shopping at lidl.
However recently that enjoyment has dulled considerably.
Today the Woodley store seemed incredibly disorganised.... several items that i used to get seem to have been discontinued. Plus extra long queues at the only two checkouts open.
I gave up and left

A Very Unpleasant Experience
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had.
At around 7 PM this evening, I entered the store. When it came to the counter to pay, I did not notice that the till next to me was going to be closed
Suddenly, the male staff with long hair at that checkout very rudely stopped me and pointed towards the number sign, implying ?Don?t you see it?s red? Why are you still coming here?? His tone and gesture were extremely disrespectful.
What was even more shocking was that the staff member at other till, who was serving customers, also abruptly raised his voice at me.
We were completely taken aback. Then joined the queue at the open one and that second cashier
For the few customers ahead of us, he mumbled ?good evening? and gave out the total casually. When it came to our turn, they made no effort to be polite. When my wife nodded at him, he even rolled his eyes.
My wife told him directly, ?You are really being very rude.? I also stated clearly, ?We didn?t do anything wrong. Why are you treating us like this??
His response was unenthusiastic and careless ? he simply muttered ?sorry? without any sincerity.
We have no idea what might have happened to cause this behaviour, but this experience was completely unacceptable and deeply disappointing.

Lidl in Woodley at headley road went to get some whipped cream asked a team member looked like the assistant or store manager he snapped at me saying can?t you see I?m putting delivery away he was extremely rude

Not as much choice as the Whitley branch, particularly for fresh plant based foods, plus you have to pay for parking

This is store is always clean and well-stocked. Mercifully, no self-service checkouts for the moment.
An exceptionally rude male staff member with long dark hair and jeans spoke to my elderly mother like dirt. Was heavily sarcastic and spoke down to her. Muttering under his breath at her.
She told me afterwards because she knew I would go and address him about it. She said he appeared to be holding in his anger in front of her and she was worried he would become aggressive with me. Why hire someone like that? Very poor.
Looking through some of the other reviews, they make mention of an unpleasant long-haired member of staff. Some of these complaints go back months, so Lidl clearly don't give a stuff about their customer's concerns despite offering an email to contact them about it, which is a shame.
I can't give more than 2 stars because of that. It's a shame because all the other members of staff are highly professional and super-friendly. Especially Claire (on the tills) who is a very good and kind person.
We likely won't return.

Small regular Aldi. Parking is not free (except Sundays) which is very frustrating. There is also no bakery inside, and the middle isle is limited. This is closer but I prefer the Wokingham Lidl for not having any of the above problems.

During my visit today - I was holding other shopping when paying for my Lidl shopping.
A man with long dark hair, behind me (who was an employee and looked quite senior in the store? I?m hoping he isn?t!) was rushing me through the till as I was trying to pick up my stuff and said ?hurry up - I haven?t got all day?. I looked at the person who was serving me thinking maybe he was talking to them as ?work banter? but they looked as shocked as I did.
This isn?t the first time I?ve had poor customer service in this particular store, but this took it to a whole different level!
I won?t be shopping in this store again.
