Good priced quality good stuff, but it is always painful trying to pay either because there are not enough staff on the checkouts, or the self-service checkout tills go wrong and you have to wait for a member of staff to fiddle with the till.Sometimes I just give up and walk out and go to another supermarket on my way home.

Oxford Road Reading Lidals Absolutely awful Self service is for cards only now.They only open One Till so if you are popping in for 1 or 2 items and paying cash then expect to be waiting in a very,very long que for up to 30+minutes People don't have time to wait around ***** Lidals Open Up More Tills Please*****

Not shopping here anymore dropped wife to do the shopping went to pick up kids from school came back half an hour later to pick her up got £100 ticket from one parking solution(thief) for sake of one no return policy went inside lidle many times stuff said no manager was available.

DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU CAN. The car park is managed by One Parking Solutions, and chances are you will get extorted 100£ if you appeal a nonsensical fine.In my case, I got a fine for returning within an hour. I'd forgotten my phone/card while shopping at Lidl. I asked a staff member if I could leave the shopping temporarily, return to go home, get my card, and pay for it. They said it was fine. I got the fine, and I was naive enough to think it would get waived once I explained the situation, which didn't happen. I then appealed to Popla, again assuming that common sense would prevail and that Popla existed to limit these companies' greediness. I was wrong, and the appeal was rejected.I stopped shopping at my local Lidl to make sure I don't get extorted more money from those b******s. Lidl, you should really raise your voice against these scammers, or you will lose a lot of business.

Felt a bit shabby. I went in the early evening and the bakery only had limited range available. Empty sections in freezers. Some other fresh food items not available in pack size I wanted at time of visit e.g. family pack of chicken breast was sold out and 1kg boxes also almost gone. Huge queue at till.Sunday afternoon. Many freezer sections without stock and others low. Queue at tills significant.

No baskets, not enough staff, and those who were there do not care. Walked outThere was a time when I have been doing self-service. The product was not going thru the scanner. A staff member (blond russian girl) camdle around and started going through all items which was already scanned. When second time it happened, she came around and started doing same thing (i had quite big shopping). I joked to her "hope you not trying to accuse me of steeling", and she said "maybe I am" as a reply. Left all shopping there on the till and walked out. This is biggest insult I have received in my lifetime. This shop do not e ist for me anymore. I stopped shopping in Lidl then, not only this one, but all. I do not recommend going to Lidl to anyone with bit of dignity.

Great store, with loads of choice and always good value.Too often, though, when I've been there, there are no checkouts available, and so the only choice are the self-service facilities, so I prefer the Lidl in Whitley and only use the one in Oxford Road occasionally.
