IKEA Reading offers an amazing family-friendly experience that extends beyond furniture shopping. The store's well-organized layout and modern designs make navigating through displays a breeze, providing inspiration for home decor. The standout feature was the fantastic eating area, offering a diverse and delicious menu at affordable prices. The family-friendly ambiance, complete with a kids' play area, made our visit stress-free and enjoyable. Moreover, IKEA's commitment to sustainability, evident in the use of eco-friendly materials and recycling stations, adds to the overall appeal. In sum, IKEA Reading is not just a furniture store; it's a delightful place to shop, dine, and spend quality family time.

We visit on a fairly regular basis and the food and service is fine. Today, was terrible, the cafe upon exit was carnage. I am assuming it was down to the new computer and ordering system. 5 members of staff all looking harrassed, stressed and with no idea what to do. The wait time was approx 25 minutes for an ice cream cup and cup of coffee. The customer next to me had been waiting over half an hour for a hotdog, how long does it take to put a sausage in a bun?! The food is fine, but the wait time was just crazy. As a person with food allergies I do not tend to eat at Ikea due to the lack of information about gluten. Staff when asked also have a very limited knowledge. My children usually enjoy the food here, I would like it to be a little more inclusive for those who cant eat gluten.

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience in the Reading IKEA store. Whilst I appreciate the IT systems where down, I had to wait over an hour to be served by a customer service agent. I believe that the team should have communicated to the customers that there was an issue, could have displayed a simple notice, to allow customers to make an informed decision on whether to wait. When I eventually got served, I was unable to get my query resolved. Overall, I am hugely disappointed with the experience I had in store, the staff acted in an unprofessional manner (without name badges on), long waiting time without any communication or an apology for the wait, and then a process which makes no sense.

Biggest furniture store I have ever visited. More people than you could imagine, buying thousands of items. No sign of a cost of living crisis here! Fair pricing for a bookshelf we bought.

Worst ever service!Bought furniture from Ikea in Reading and when I got it home I discovered the label was wrong in the box and had the wrong colour of furniture inside! I took the 45-minute journey to exchange. After dealing with a very unhelpful member of staff at the Reading branch it was exchanged. When I arrived back home the replacement item was faulty as it had the holes drilled in the wrong place! After haggling with customer services they agreed to deliver an exchange and remove the faulty item! The day before the delivery date I called as I did not receive a deliver slot! Only to be told the delivery had been cancelled. After an hour on the phone, I got no joy and got so stressed by the situation! No one seemed to know what was going on and then to make matters worse they offered me a separate collection and delivery date for another week's time! After being stressed all day I had a phone call from the delivery team with a slot for the next day, the original slot! Apparently the item had never been cancelled and the person at customer services got it wrong! So a whole day of stress and anxiety for nothing! Will the item turn up tomorrow - God only knows. Thanks, IKEA for all the stress and anxiety - I will never, ever, use your services again.

Very well organised space. Showroom is very informative and easy to pick up the chosen goods. Convenient parking lot ?

I'd rather visit the Wembley Ikea instead . This place is disorganised, the parking takes ages, at least 45 minutes to leave, long queues, empty shelves and the staff don't seem to know much. All of my friends and colleagues have negative statements about this branch. The nursery staff are prejudice and chose which children they'd cater for, totally unacceptable. All that hype and excitement about Ikea coming to Reading, but it's brought traffic and disappointment. Food is expensive too, with an endless wait.if you get stuck in the rush hour, it can take you up to an hour to leave the car park. I took the photos at 10am opening time .

Very nice, a lot of things in stock, and be sure to be getting what you need while you visit, also scanning everything you want to getnin the end to find the right location. The shop is huge so it can take around 2-3h to check everything.

Used to regularly visit the Southampton store pre lockdown. Always enjoyed a day out there, however Reading was hugely disappointing today. Went with the view of furnishing an entire flat. Came away with three chopping boards and two jars. Plenty of parking however lighting in the multi storey totally unsatisfactory once it was getting dark outside. I would suggest a safety issue for lone woman returning to the upper floors as in my case. Only one lift out of three working so due to the queue length had to use the stairs. The store itself was untidy, dark warehouse area and virtually no staff on the shop floor. Do wonder if Ikea are cost cutting regarding staffing levels and lighting. Only helpful person was a young woman on the self service tills who was running here, there and everywhere. Ikea is a brand which I regularly bought furniture from but today I left hugely disappointed. Did manage to get out of the car park and back to the M4 quickly. I have heard there can sometimes be issues leaving at busy times. I will still go back to Southampton but will avoid Reading which is local to me.

Helpful staff and friendly place I brought a table but it would fix together. So I brought another one what didn't fit in the car but a lovely lady and few other staff helped and it got sorted. A big thank to the lady who went out her way in the returns session she was definitely my guilding angel I never forget her kindness

Great IKEA store. Parking is simple and easy to get around. Staff are generally helpful but not everyone to the same level as you get with anywhere. I tend to check the website of what is in stock if I am after something specific. Love the canteen and Swedish meatballs. Also you can buy this stuff to takeaway downstairs.

IKEA is synonymous with affordable, compact designs for small living spaces. Having a lunch or dinner at their restaurant is a must and always part of our visit. We have lived in countries without IKEA and the absence is tangible, especially when furnishing a new place. So glad we have access to their stores again.

The food queue was huge, as only one side of the frifges were stocked. This was about 19:00 on a Friday.Manoeuvring large trolleys to the tills is difficult, due to the crates of goods in front of them. I know this is to drive impulse purchasing, but please allow easy access. This is the same with a wheelchair ??

Not so much a restaurant more like a school canteen. A very limited menu but long queues and dishing up the food was sloppy. Serving staff were like robots. It was good value for money and fish and chips were just about OK
