I did my food shopping at the nearby M&S this morning, then came here to buy a water pack. As soon as I walked through the entrance door, a female staff member from across the store said, 'You need to get a basket, you are not allowed to put anything in your bag'. Did the lady assume that I was there to steal something? I would have taken a basket if the water pack would fit in one, but it would not. The way the lady staff member talked to me was condescending and demanding.However, this one individual staff member does not represent the entire store, as I find all the other staff here very friendly and helpful.
