What a lovely experience we had last week when my husband and I called into the Holiday Inn Reading West. We called in without an appointment to talk about accommodation options for ourselves, family and guests for out daughter's forthcoming wedding at Ufton Court.We were really impressed by the welcome we received from Nessa and Lisa from the moment we walked into the hotel reception. Thankyou Lisa for walking us through the lovely seating and dining areas and for the coffees / chocolates. We were also really impressed with your attention to detail and effort you have made in the garden courtyard area.Based on our experience last week we have decided to book rooms at the hotel for ourselves and will pass on details to wider family and friends. We know we won't be disappointed and feel confident we will be getting a professional but homely experience with Nessa in charge. We will definitely be calling in again for coffee / lunch during our wedding preparation visits to the area.

Excellenr brakfast, both traditional cooked and continental. Staff have been exceptional. Will be coming back!! Clean and tidy.

Having stayed at this hotel intermittently for a long period of time I have no reservations in recommending it to others.I have felt like my at stays have been a home from home and I am always very welcomed and well looked after. The front of house team are warm, friendly and treat you as one of their own. They are simply lovely!The rooms are spacious and comfortable, I have however found the WIFI connection to be poor on the first floor.The breakfast selection is plentiful and caters for all tastes. I do feel that the hard working chefs could be better supported by the company with a wider range of quality ingredients when designing the evening menus.I have given this most recent stay 4* based on the lovely team that takes care of the hotel daily. Should the company support the hotel with a wider range of quality ingredients I?d happily award it 5*.

Nice big comfortable room, plenty of space and quiet. Bar area was comfortable and like a living room, nice to relax in the evening. The staff were very friendly, helpful chatty and pleasant. I would recommend and would book this hotel again if staying in the area.

Had such a lovely stay here that I would definitely seek to return to this hotel again and again. A real home from home. Stayed 4 nights on business, but it felt more like a holiday. The high levels of service and attention from hotel staff are unmatched and really stood out to me, a frequent hotel guest. Staff were friendly and accommodating, anticipating guests' needs. Guests with dogs were made very welcome, lovely atmosphere in the lounge area made it feel like a local pub. Breakfast was high quality and great value with plenty of options to choose from. The bedroom was kept spotless and tidy by a team of invisible 'ninja' housekeepers! Special thanks to Nissrine, Lisa and Anna for making this an unforgettable stay.
