Had my MOT done here today at this centre.The text message, with the link is so helpful. You can see when they have your car in the garage, when it's completed and ready to collect.Staff were polite and helpful when I went to collect my car.Will be using this centre from now on for my MOT.Thankyou

Service was good, staff were polite and friendly. My MOT was completed on time and the vehicle was ready on time. hOnly gripe was the call I was promised to let me know my vehicle was ready didn't happen.Also be aware this autocentre is located adjacent to other garages and so parking can be a challenge as the car park is shared between them all.

Shocking service. Booked my car in at 09H30 and paid for online a week in advance. Got a lift back to work and only went back at 14H30 after work. They hadn't even looked at my car. Took my keys and walked out. Still have not got my money back.

Booked an appointment and paid the full amount online (240 £) then they called 3 days before the date to inform that they need to reschedule my appointment to the following week.On the following week, i went, they apologised for not being able to work because the technician did mot show up. They told me to come anytime on the following Monday without an appointment, and my car will need an hour to complete the major service.Went on the following Monday, they refused to work because no appointment was booked. The guy denied asking me to come without an appointment and said that was maybe his colleague. He told me that my appointment was already rescheduled to the following Friday, without even asking if i am available, or informing me.On the following Friday, i took the day off to deliver my car. When i arrived they told me it needs 2.5 hours to finish! I had no other options so i said ok.After 2.5 hours i called, they said they need another 40-45 minutes to finish, probably they didn?t start by that time.Finally by 12:15 pm i took my car. I will never do the service at that branch again.

I am starting this review process early as things are looking very bad. I may decide to modify my review if they sort the issue soon and don't play any games. Time will tell. 3 weeks ago I had all 4 tyres replaced in my golf with new tyres in this garage and boy what a massive mistake that was. Firstly, wheels were not balanced properly. After taking my car back to the garage I was assured that everything is working fine. It wasn't. 1min on M4 and car vibrates like a jelly doing 60mph and above. There was absolutely zero issues before I gave my car to this garage. I needed this car for a very long journey (over 1000miles one way) and in its current state its simply not safe to drive that distance. Despite explaining the situation to the staff no one wanted to help, told me they are busy. I had to rebook everything for my journey and find alternative car which cost me a lot of money!. Now that I am back from holiday I am facing more bridges. Despite booking a service with 2 weeks notice for 8.30 today and bringing car on time I was still told that it can't be done because they don't have enough staff today! This currently leaves me with car that is not usable on motorways for more than 3 weeks now. I was told someone will look into this tomorrow. We will see. If it doesn't move forward I will be demanding full refund and my old tyres back.12th August 12PM - Visit 1 (tyres replacement)16th August 8.30AM - Visit 2 (failed wheel balancing)8 September 8.30AM - Visit 3 (no action)

If only all Halfords were like this, we had a slight problem on our way to Wales from Kent, our problem was sorted in less than two minutes. Excellent service would highly recommend.

If it were possible, I'd award zero stars. Regrettably, I stumbled upon the reviews belatedly; otherwise, I would have never opted for an MOT at Halfords. I made the booking close to a month ago, only to have it abruptly cancelled today due to an insufficient number of technicians. Astonishingly, there was just one technician available, and to exacerbate matters, they were scheduled to leave early. This entire experience has been an utter waste of my time. I strongly advise steering clear of this establishment. Despite their claims of being fully booked for the next three weeks, I found neighbouring garages with available MOT slots as soon as the following day. Halfords' services have left me immensely disillusioned, and I am resolved to never engage with them again.

I wasn't able to go to my usual garage as it was closed for holidays (independent owner, well deserved).Needed to get the car Aircon checked before travels. First class service from Halfords. Booked online with arrival time.Be aware, it's a busy location with other garages onsite, but as I pulled in, a service technician came out, recognised my number plate/car, and directed me to the service bay. (Pays to pre-book)I've always trusted Halfords for "off the shelf" stuff like: washer additive, oil, touch up paint, polish, stuff I can do myself. Now, I'd happily entrust service work too.Before: Aircon was running warm (so clearly not working).After: Halfords were efficient in service. I left feeling cold, for all the right reasons.Thanks to Marek & Ijaz.

Updated - Still not a bad garage but would look somewhere else or at a different Halfords as these aren?t the bestHad an MOT & Service, car passed perfectly and had some minor changes during service which sadly led to the car not firing on all cylinders. However this was quickly sorted within 24 hours upon noticing and has been all good since. My review would have been 4 stars for this type of thing usually however, Cameron is a good lad with decent communication and got it sorted quickly.
