I needed a new car battery fitted in a hurry with only a few minutes remaining until closing time. Not only did the team get my battery fitted in record (bet winning) time, but they helped sort another issue with the bonnet too.

Halford has a lot of options and offers. However I did not find good service available.
Just fixing a mudguard for new bike users is also a big deal and £5 is charged for it.
£10 charged to assemble the bike, however I have driven 1 mile after taking out from shop and one brake stopped functioning.
Believe that there is a room to do better quality checks.

My first visit to Halfords and I'm more than happy. Brad went above and beyond to check the AirCon of my car, explained relevant things in a warm and friendly manner. That's how you win customers. Will definitely go there again.

Booked in on the website for a new battery at Winnersh Halfords. A young man called Andrew replaced my battery for me. Absolutely wonderful young man, quick, efficient and knowledgeable so thank you Andrew and Halfords I?m so happy with the service. KB

The Cycle parts offered by the store are good value but the service is poor. Person tried to see me the wrong set of tubes. Also had problems previously with fixing rims. Paid for a significant amount of labour that did not resolve the issue.

I've had to visit this store a few times now over the last couple of weeks and each time I have walked away impressed with the service I had received.
From resolving issues with the delivery of an online order (I ended up going to the store as the central customer service team were useless) to my latest encounter this morning where the team were able to address a minor issue with a missing part in some roof bars I'd purchased with speed, ease and common sense!
Great store with incredibly polite and helpful staff.

On the morning of 09/08/2025 at 9 AM, I went to the Halfords in Winnersh for my roof bars fitting appointment. The staff member who was supposed to do the job seemed a bit amateur and kept complaining, saying things like, ?This is so complicated, there are too many screws and parts.?
While trying to fit the parts, he scratched the back of my car with a 20 cm long scratch and didn?t even apologise. After about 35 minutes, he said, ?Okay, it?s done.? But there were 8 parts left over. When I asked what they were for, he told me, ?They?re just extras, not needed,? and I left.
About 2 minutes later, while driving, I started hearing a horrible high-pitched whistling sound inside the car?ear-piercing. When I got home, I checked YouTube videos and realised the leftover parts were actually covers for the long open holes in the roof rails. Even worse, he had fitted the left-hand side parts to the right and the right-hand side parts to the left.
I went back and asked them to fix it, but the reply was, ?he finished at 10 AM, go to the Oxford Road store, they will sort it out.? When I went there, they told me, ?We?re busy today, you?d better call customer service.?
When I called customer service, they said, ?We?ve created a case for your situation, we will definitely call you on Monday. If you don?t get a call, call us back.?
What kind of rubbish service is this? I wasted 6.5 hours and nobody knows what?s going on.
My advice: get your roof bars fitted somewhere else. ?

Checked stock before order, ordered it and received advice it was ready for collection, visited store and they confirmed my order but could not find the product for 15 minutes! The assistant could not find it and no apology for a simple click and collect!

Dealt with Owen today buying car Wipers at Halford in Winnersh. Super helpful guy and we need more people like him in the service industry. My lack of knowledge about car parts was not a worry anymore for me as Owen helped me pick the right parts and even explained me about the fitting!
