Little up hill battle with them as to fitting my battery as said not bought from them therefore wouldn't fit. Nothing on site that I could find saying only if purchased from them and eventually manager said would allow fit only if exactly as in car. Sad but was the same and then fitted battery. For nil was happy to pay £20 for fit but as a Halfords premium customer said was free. Shame though I needed to go through as the hassle just to get my battery fitted. As advertised fitting for £20 nothing made clear only if battery supplied from Halfords. Halfords couldn't supply the battery spec that I wanted so purchased elseware . And customer services extreamly poor with any help sad experience from Halfords although finally resolved in the end..

Today Friday 29 December 2023 @17:52, My family and I have received a "creme de la creme" top quality service from your employee called LAJEN at Halfords- Oxford Rd in READING UK.We were impressed by his:1. Approachability2. Willingness to help3. Kindness4. Customer satisfaction "obsession" and mindset.LAJEN Went the extra mile to help my son aged 11 who was struggling with his newly collected bike down the stairs.He helped us put the bike inside car. Help arrange fitting.Even gave me free tutorial on the 3 ways to access headlights in a Zafira.Many thanks LAJEN . Keep it that way. I went in this morning for headlight replacement. At reception was a pleasant young lady who told me to wait outside and someone will attend to my repair work.Having waited outside with several mechanics seemingly attending to one or two cars . Finally i decide to speak to one, whose customer had just left.I excused myself...and asked if I should move my car into the halfords canopy ( as the area was now empty). The mechanic did not answer, but just glanced at me and carried on with putting away his tools. I asked again..and he just grunted and pointed to reception! At this point I resigned myself to just wait outside. Next thing I know the receptionist walks out to me with same mechanic. She asks if I want a health check and I replied I only want light fitting. The mechanic then walks over to me and says abruptly " move your car here" pointing to canopy area. I do that.Get out and he says "open the bonnet" I do that. Then says" turn on lights". This continues until he completes repair. Tells me it's done and walks off.My experience at this particular halfords (oxford road)has always been very good. Infact iv always come here.Well after this experience?? I'm having to think again!!! Customer care seems firmly out the window!

Took my bike in to be repaired and they fixed it. Hooray! I am very pleased with the service. Also the staff are very friendly and helpful.

In the interest of a fair review, there is precisely one member of staff that knows what they're doing and is willing to offer alternatives.Then, on the other side, they will allow others to use any account you have with them. When you try and fix it, you'll get through to their call centre, where you will helpfully be put through to the wrong store or "sorry, they're not answering, there's nothing we can do."This is on top of items being repaired by them which break within one or two weeks.If you're looking for a bike, please just go elsewhere. online retailers selling imported knockoffs have a better delivery than halfords.

Awful service from start to finish. Took over a month and endless chasing to get Halfords to order parts to fix my bike. 2 months later, still no sign of the parts. Store don?t answer the phone 9 times out of 10, and when calling the main customer service line all the staff are based in South Africa and if the store doesn?t pick up, the store doesn?t pick up and the only way to talk to someone is to go in person.Received an update on 18th December that the parts have been dispatched from Raleigh. Halfords use their own couriers according to Raleigh and they pick parts up twice a week. 16 January, almost an entire month later, surprise surprise no further updates and the ?parts haven?t arrived at the store yet?.Absolutely shocking service from start to finish and no apologies for the delay from anyone in store or at the call centre in South Africa.3 months and 15 days? embarrassing.
