This place is a disgrace to the concept of ?responsible gambling.?
I told Grosvenor staff that my limit was £2,000 per month. They entered it as £2,000 per day ? and silently watched me lose several tens of thousands of pounds over just a few days.
No proof of income requested. No affordability checks. No self-exclusion or even basic time-outs. Just silence, while I kept gambling beyond any reasonable threshold.
The money I lost led me into serious debt ? I?m now behind on credit cards, utility bills, and other essential living expenses.
Their response? A half-hearted excuse and a joke of a settlement that barely acknowledged the damage.
This company doesn?t care about protecting players ? they only care about protecting their profits. They ignored clear red flags and allowed me to spiral financially and emotionally without any meaningful support or intervention.
Avoid Grosvenor at all costs. Especially if you?re vulnerable ? they won?t stop you, they?ll just let you destroy yourself.

Nice place, 1st time join this casino in reading with big tournament series. Poker dealer for cash game is too bad. first time learning maybe, dun know who win the pot even if players showed their hand, and forget to give change, miscount rake. Like college boy first day work in society. A bit of disappointment. Casino kind of short of poker dealer

One of the nicest casinos I've been to. Lovely open spaces, with plenty of card games & roulette and a nice poker card room. Nice food & the service was excellent and with a smile. Really nice experience.

Me and my partner have this habit of going to new places just to explore the grosvenors, and reading did not disappoint. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted by the loveliest receptionist who gave me a free drink voucher for it being my birthday, I took it to the bar and they gave me a free drink which I chose smirnoff vodka and lemonade, it was a single, but they were very generous with the alcohol to soft drink ratio ? this grosvenor had the big wheel for newbies to spin, we have been members for years, but my partner asked if I could spin it, being my birthday, and Luke, the man on the desk said that I could for the occasion, I span it and got a voucher for a free bet on a single number, which if it had won I would?ve got £50, sadly it didn?t win but I had the opportunity! He also said that if we give our thoughts on the venue we could grab a free drink each. Unfortunately my partner was driving so his free drink soon became my free drink! ? 3 vodka and lemonades down. Complimentary soft drinks ! Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff. They even had a vending machine with chunks of gold and silver in??? Pokémon cards as well? Never seen that before but thought that was very cool! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this grosvenor and definitely beats the others we have been to, Bristol, Portsmouth, Southampton, the one in reading by the oracle, Bournemouth, and Cardiff - I think this is everyone we have been to but I could be wrong!!
