This store has consistently disappointed me.
Extremely slow service
On every visit (and I?ve given them more than one chance), it?s taken over 25?30mins just to bring out 1 pair of shoes. Very sluggish handling.
Unusual customer treatment
Once the shoes are out, if I try another pair, I?m asked to put the earlier ones to the rack myself. That?s super odd as in every other shoe store (even high-end), the staff take care of that, not the customer! The manager on 5-July was also very rude to the staff & customers!
I?d like to believe this isn?t selective treatment based on background / ethnicity, but it?s hard to ignore the pattern. Whether it?s unconscious bias or just unprofessionalism, it?s NOT OKAY either way.
I really hope the store management rethinks how it handles customer service, because I personally wanted to purchase shoes but the experience really ticked me off. Being part of the operations mgmt. sector, I would recommend improving staff training and re-evaluating how service is delivered across the board.

Reading store has changed for the better in recent months, the staff seem happy to be at work, helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I was avoiding the store following a bad experience a few months ago. Today changed my mind. Plenty of stock, great prices, knowledgeable staff and great alternative ideas for shoes we might like. Thank you to Jack O who served us.

They often have a sale here. Nice easy layout to navigate what you need. Have a large section for men women and children. Bought 2 items today and very happy with my purchase! Staff are friendly and helpful, thank you! They also have an app where you can get discounts which I found out today! Definitely recommend coming here they have more than just shoes! They have clothes and hats and similar items also!

Very poor customer service! I went there yesterday afternoon/evening, (ok, i know I went just 20 mins before closing, but it was urgent and i couldn?t make it earlier) 3 members of staff were there chitchatting to each other and not even paying attention to me(the only customer in the store at the time) I was visibly confused and was trying to find the specific trainers i was looking for and no help was offered or anything. When i asked where to find them, disturbing their chat, one of the annoyed pointed with a finger on the rack and continued their conv. However, i had to go in store (travel 50 mins one way) just because i have vouchers which cannot be redeemed online, When i tried to pay with them, they said they have expired without even checking that, properly and did look at me like I am a rtard for even asking. I just spoken to customer service and they confirmed they are in date!!! I really needed these trainers as they were a bday present i just bought them , but the staffs attitude and poor service put me off this store completely! Not going back.

A organised store without a range of trainers and clothing for both adults and adults alike. There are sale racks to source clothing with reductions, and some trainer sections. I found Jack very helpful, he assisted me in finding clothes for my three year old who fits into age 5 plus. The labels are so small and with my visual impairment, Jack took over and by the end for eh shopping experience, I had a bag of clothing . Thank you.

Footlocker when it was up by where Taco Bell is was much better than this new trash can store. These days I don't even go in, just walk straight past. You can see the trainer wall from outside and nothing looks appealing. They have some weird looking security guards who been in the country 2 weeks and can't speak English. They completely ruined the brand. This was hot property once upon a time (10 years ago). Now it's done out here. It's sad.

Worst costumer services ever. I just bought a pair of Nike trainers, they were on sale for 89.99, price tag and even displayed on the sale rack and when I got home I have noticed they charged me full price, went back to the shop and guess what they refused to give back my 20 pounds, because they didn't belive I took them from the sail rack, stupid explanation.

I have been a customer of Foot Locker for many years - Reading Store has a varied selection of sneakers , clothing and other bits and pieces from all the major brands - The person who served me was friendly and very helpful, as we're all staff in store - I was even able to get a small discount on my purchase by joining up to foot lockers FLX membership - A really good buying experience 5*****
