Its not something i usually do but today i felt the need to review these Guys at Evans Cycles especially Joe (Sales guy) what a guy!! .. super helpful everytime i use the store, he even gives my boys his time with any questions they might have!? the advice he's given me thus far has been spot-on hence why i continue to use the store! .. i have complete confidence in these guys and strongly recommend anybody that might have Bike issues, or are looking to purchase a new Bike/bike parts or even advice to go to these guys, very honest, very friendly and the job will get done properly! ....

Called this joke of a shop up the day before, told them I have a flat on my foldable electric bicycle, I was told they could fix it and to come in. Next day I had to carry my bike for 20 minutes to them only to be told they won?t touch it by some lazy guy who wouldn?t look up from his computer and had me waiting for no reason. Why tell me over the phone you can fix my flat tyre and then when I come to the shop Im told no. What a waste of my time and effort! Don?t got here!!

I reached out to your company on FB (not sure which branch but i was chatting to Dave) I said that my £2000 bikes brakes were not looking good and asked if a particular brand that he does not stock be ok? He came back with he can't comment on that as he doesnt sell it, so i then asked him seem they the experts and work with this stuff daily - what he could recommend from his shop - again he said he can't help me .... ? Really? Evans cycles are useless - thanks for nothing guys! Maybe us South African's need to teach you some business skills ?

Great experience, I called the store a week prior to going for my complimentary health check. I arrived at the store in the morning and staff were a little surprised as I don?t think it was communicated that I would be coming in for this, nevertheless the staff were very welcoming and completed the health check anyway. It took about an hour and they even found a couple of bit that had not been put together right from assembly at the initial point when the bike was first delivered.
All in all very happy with the service and would recommend.

I ordered a bike to the store in Reading never received any contact and not gotten a refund, shop rude and ignoring so is the evans cycles online store fraud department contacted to get refund. This company have no respect for the customer.

Disappointed with store communication as didn?t let me know when my bike was ready to collect as waiting for bike stand as they order wrong one and not tell me until I called to chase up. Had to wait 10 days just for this! Email the manager no reply back and call the store a few times. Not even an apology and no help with the bike when had to put in car and just explained had to release the bike wheel if need to fit in car. So it took me quite a while to figure out. Hope head office is reading this as I want a proper explanation as this is poor communication and customer service.

What an amazing experience. I went in with my son to get his first bike . Chap in the store made it so special and so helpful. I dont think 5 Star will be enough for this place . Thank you so much for making experience so special.

Really poor customer service, slow and generally just disappointing. Don?t service your bike here if you need it back anytime soon or if you have a Brompton.
I brought my brompton to the shop to get it serviced. They booked me in for the next available slot which was about 2 weeks away. When I went back to the shop to pick it up the mechanic didn?t even know that the brompton was there - let a lone scheduled to be serviced. So after he found my brompton he then said they don?t stock any replacement parts for Bromptons and that I would have to order them myself. However, he was kind enough to give me a list of parts that I had to get. At this point I was almost fed up and ready to take it to another shop. But he seemed like a nice and sincere guy.
So I ordered the parts, brought them to the shop, they spent another day to fit them and service the bike. When I came back the next day to pick it up they told me the chain I ordered was too short - even though it was the chain they said I should buy?
So I ordered a new chain in the correct length. Went back again a day later to check if it was ready. They said in a very irritated and contemplating way that they were busy and that I should come back another day.
Long story short. Took almost a month to get my brompton serviced. Never got any communication from the mechanic about any updates, always had to go to the shop for them to tell me that it?s still not done. Took me 5 trips to the shop to finally get it serviced. The work they did was okay but everything around it just outstandingly poor. I mean which bike shop doesn?t have spare parts?

Got double charged. Took nearly a month to resolve. Head Office totally unhelpful. Bike went in for service, but had problems with gearing thereafter. Often made to feel like an inconvenience. I'll be going back to AW Cycles.

I needed my gears indexing in a hurry. Evans in Reading fitted me in the same day and the job was done expertly by Simon the mechanic. Not only that, he took the trouble to show me how I could help myself next time and because he'd been able to fix it so quickly, didn't charge me a penny. Great service. Thanks, Simon.

They were nice, but couldnt find a hole in my bike tube multiple times that I found within 2 minutes of doing it myself at home.

I went to Reading Evan?s Cycles. I received outstanding service from Joe (assistant manager). Joe demonstrated excellent communication and knowledge about the products he was selling. I couldn?t recommend this shop more and can?t wait to visit again.

My husband took our daughter's bike we bought on amazon to get the break fixed as we couldn't make it to work. Other places had a week or few weeks' waiting but Joe took a look at our daughter's bike on the day and fixed it very quickly. Joe was very kind and professional. I really appreciated his help today. Now my daughter can finally have her bike she got from her aunty!

I was extremely happy with my service here in Reading today. I had a puncture and my tyre was worn down to the point it definitely needed a replacement but I needed a fix that could get me home tonight. The staff, as I entered were really warm and friendly.
I wanted to thank Joe for having a look and helping me with my rear tyre today!
Joe literally had a look, told me it was no big deal and changed both my inner tube and tyre in barely even a moments wait, he was extremely easy to talk to as well, he answered all of my questions about derailleurs and with everything I needed to know, showing his product knowledge and thanks to him, I can enjoy a nice ride home and I have no worries or doubts.

Joe was super helpful and friendly. It was also really thoughtful to check ahead regarding extra charges that were going to be required, rather than just doing it and the cost coming as a surprise.
