*MUST READ* !!!!! I was fooled by the great reviews and the brand name of Ernest Jones but frankly this one of the most embarrassing moments of my life and even made worse by the disappointment of my partner.
I bought a diamond ring with 18K white gold and on proposal I quickly realised that the ring was way too loose, even though a previous ring sizing was done. I then called and was told I could get a ring resized and it would come in two days. I went into the store to get the most accurate ring size and was met by a colleague who said we couldn?t get a new ring and would have to get the current ring resized because it had scratches and smudges on it. We would also have to wait 3 weeks to get a new ring. I was shocked because my partner had only worn the ring once and took it off 5mins later when she realised it was loose as she didn?t want to lose it. Imagine spending thousands on an item only to be told there?s marks on it.
I had asked her to show me another ring in the store and you wouldn?t believe it but it also had smudges and marks on it too! A brand new item, imagine the horror. The lady that served me was truly incompetent but we can accredit this too the poor quality goods that they are selling. She also embarrassed me by showing my partner how much I had spent on the item with no regards to privacy. I felt this was a special moment ruined. This was done purposefully, as there was no need to turn the payment screen to me as it didn?t show any info that she didn?t already inform us of. I did not feel welcomed! It?s a shame because other colleagues in the store treated me like a human being and with respect. I was treated as a peasant, an animal and like a person that didn?t deserve nice things. I will go as far in saying that it was racism.
Please just go to another jewellery shop because Ernest Jones will disappoint and ridicule you. I will be taking my money elsewhere and escalating this to the highest heights. The lady that served me should not be allowed to serve others and treat people like this. It?s not right You have been warned!!!!

I purchased a watch online and popped into the store on 6/07/2025 around 13:00 to have the bracelet adjusted. It was done in less than 5 minutes. Thanks to the lady who helped me. I am very happy with the service!

Absolutely outstanding service I received with a exchange of watch, hassle free and watch strap adjusted perfectly as I waited.

Great experience buying a wedding ring here. Reasonable prices and when I went back to get it resized, staff were super helpful. Tiana especially was great.

Call service from this branch. Ordered an item of jewellery to be collected from the store. I spoke to customer services and informed him that I no longer wanted the item and to process return. Having spoken to customer services, three times now, they?ve informed the store not responding to their requests. Instead, I?m getting notifications at the collection time has been extended.

Unfriendly customer service. Store closes at 6pm buy the manager refused to serve me at 5.55pm and she was very rude. I Won't be going back.

I went in to pay and collect a limited edition sports watch which was initially bought online however got cancelled on the delivery date after a week long wait due to lack of stock, I left feedback on Trustpilot, I have been told to contact head office to sort the matter out. They tried to resolve it by shipping the watch from Ni store to reading and I went into pay and collect it. Soon in went into the store I could see the staffs estrange behaviour as if they acted why I?m in the store even after having telephonic conversation about collection I find it very unprofessional and weird attitude towards customers it is a basic thing to greet customer and make them feel comfy but I see none of that happening in fact they were going back and forth asking questions and not once they smiled make it feel comfortable rather being weirdo their manager attitude was unreal, they opened box the already don?t know for what reason I ask why is it opened they said we only took the outer box not the actual but I felt the item was a returned one nevertheless I tried to pay the card declined sorted the extra security layer went in again to pay just because their attitude I decided to walk away and never again to visit the store and see the lost and apprehension faces it?s unreal how they even working with that attitude to tell you the truth they should be at different place not in Ernest Jones putting customers at difficult position.

I used the Reading store today and was served by Zoha. I felt she was knowledgeable and could not have been more helpful. Would defiantly recommend buying from Ernest jones. Amazing experience 5??

Poor customer service, talk down to you.Bought an engagement ring here, 9K white gold, shouldn't scratch very easily, certainly not more easily than higher karats. Within one day of wearing this it looked more scratched than an 18K ring I've worn for years. Hence why I went in, I was concerned maybe there was a defect or something had gone wrong with the ring.Initial lady I spoke to didn't seem to know how to handle my query. Presumably the higher manager was patronising to say the least. I was not treated with the compassion of a woman with a damaged engagement ring. I had explained to me multiple times ah well jewellery does scratch, and well when it comes into contact with things it scratches - no duh - I've worn jewellery of higher karats, and worn it for many years and not had such scratching. She even started describing ah well metal is soft, again no duh, I have a degree in chemistry with a focus on metals, and I know 9K white gold should not scratch so much on the first day of wear when the wearer is being most precious about it.There was no compassion of oh dear let's have a look and see what the problem could be or oh maybe it just needs a more regular clean or polish. Just nope nope normal, don't you know metals scratch.Think I'll take my insurance elsewhere for my ring. Evidently shoddy quality, not compassionate, and patronising service. Unfortunately the ring is no longer returnable, otherwise that's exactly what I'd be doing and I'd find another engagement ring (I bought this one because I couldn't resist, evidently I should have)
