Host was very friendly BUT! Rooms were disgusting looks like they don't even have a cleaner sadly. Needs a major refresh and some effort put in. £85 a night as well its a bit of a joke I'd avoid it unless you are desperate like we were.Only bonus was great ample

It's dated yes. But a decent bed, coffee and tea in room and very clean. Staff very polite. Very good value for money, good location in quiet but safe area. Cannot complain. If I need I will come back there.

Really gross hotel unfortunately, there was hair in my bed from a previous guest, the room smelled like damp and there was visible mold in the mirror, the carpet was wet to the point that my socks got wet too. Positives: absolutely lovely person working in the reception, shower was warm, sink in the room allowed me to brush teeth in the room instead of shared toilets/bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Was able to check in late in the night after the reading festival.Despite the positives, exected better for a 3 star hotel that cost nearly 50 pounds a night - have stayed in way nicer hostels for way less money.Rooms: Grim and moldyWalkability: From down you have to take the bus unless you enjoy a long walk.

Described as 'Passable' you never really know how bad it could be. I was pleasantly surprised, it's definitely rough on the edges and not exactly holiday worthy but it's a very functional cheap and cheerful hotel. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. A side note, someone in our group slipped on some loose carpet and the stairs were steep and narrow(it's an oldish building (pretty quirky)). It didn't really affect us, we're young and fit but something to think about. Good value for moneyRooms: Good sized and functional but not aesthetically pleasing

Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. The room had a desk, TV and tea / coffee. The rate also included a cooked breakfast. It is within 3 minutes walk of a co-op and pub. Loads of off road parking - large parking area out the back.

This Hotel is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed at, I prebooked and paid for 2 nights , but only stayed 1 night because the Hotel is filthy the room I stayed in the sink was hanging off wal there shower was unusable and i had to prop a chair against the door as there were people banging on door during night I felt very unsafe and left the next morning after approximately 1 hours rest, A terrible place , I have stayed all over the world and this Hotel to me is the worst of all, Felt unsafe and wore a mask in room because of smell of damp and dirt, everywhere was shabby and dirty.
