Very upset about my experience here. I asked how much my total would be before I got my hair done and was told £145. When I got to the til I was charged £195. During my appointment I was not made aware that my total would cost £50 extra. I did not ask for any extras such as treatments etc but had no choice but to pay as I did not want to cause a scene.

I have been to Electric a couples now and it is the best in business around Reading! Booking in was very simple, I had Faye on the phone very polite and professional! Once I got to the appointment I was greeted very well by all colleagues by making me comfortable and offering drinks the person that stood out in that case was Jorja making me feel very welcome. Sean and Faye did a lovely job at getting my perm re-done. They took their time and made it the best they could whilst providing good customer service! I believe Amy is the manager running Electric checking in all the time to see if I was comfortable and everything was up to standard. Would recommend to anyone that wants a perm done or any other services they may provide. A very happy customer!

My favourite hairdressers!After trialing a few out, my long hair is at safest in the hands of the staff at Electric hair.The hairdressers are thorough, they listen to my goals and actually apply them. The staff are warm and very friendly.Edit:This place has been my go to for years but I?ve had a recent very unfortunate experience with my hair, I didn?t ask for my hair to be cut off so much. It was too much. And it wasn?t even finished properly. I don?t think i can allow myself to come back or trust this place with my hair again.All the staff are really lovely and warm but that?s not enough for me as my trust is broken since the last visit.I gave a 3 because my past visits have been great, except that last one.I wish everyone well

Wow - you walk in greeted with a frown and a bark! So the perfect place for someone who likes to be belittled! The receptions staff really REALLY REALLY do not want to be here or mistook their job for something else but good customer service/best impression it is NOT!

Went in for a really simple cut and restyle, service was great until the end. I?d asked for face framing at the front at about my jawline and ended up walking out with bangs. Even when I pointed out they were wonky the stylist cut both sides even shorter. Left so upset with nothing like what I wanted and no time to deal with it before I go on holiday next week.Service: Hairstyling

I?ve been meaning to write this review since October 2021 which is when I went to Electric to have my hair appointment. But, I have been so frustrated and upset that I have been unable. My appointment was meant to consist of a cut, my roots being bleached and my hair toned to an ashy blonde colour. For these services I paid £135. And I would have been happy with that amount to if I had received what I was meant to. (Also this was a few days before my birthday and a holiday to Paris!!!) The hairdresser in question was lovely and we had a great chat. However, the final outcome was a DISASTER. My hair was falling out whilst she was combing and drying it and the colour was completely wrong. It has taken me almost 8 MONTHS for my hair to start healing and to get thicker however I have had to have it cut short. The back of my head is still very much short due to my hair falling out which it continued to do a month after my appointment. I did go in and complain and ask for a refund. However, they said they don?t do refunds which is absurd and offered a free Olaplex treatment. After the trauma of my first appointment, I decided to buy the products myself and heal my hair at home. Moral of the story: BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TRUST WITH YOUR HAIR AND ALWAYS ASK IF THEY HAVE A SAFE GAURD PLAN IN PLACE FOR COMPENSATION IF ANYTHING GOES WROMG.Services: Hair coloring

Had my hair done by Judith a few weeks ago and I really love it! Her attention to detail is incredible and it felt like she really wanted my hair to look amazing!Only issues were; I was asked if I wanted a drink but that never came, so then I had to ask the woman who was washing my hair if I could get a drink. And then the whole appointment took about 4.5 hours with Judith doing a couple of other people's hair in between. This is fine but I just had no idea it would take this long before we started and it would have been nice to know as I was supposed to be meeting someone after. I did get a complimentary treatment added in which was a nice surprise!I also had no idea that the deposit I had already paid was not included in the price I was quoted (I changed my booking to a balayage rather than just a full head dye).Overall everyone at Electric Reading is super friendly and I will certainly be coming back!Services: Hair coloring

I have not had my hair cut in almost 2 years as I'm new to the Uk and only have had 1 person cut my hair for the past 20 years. I was very nervous but Judit was fantastic and my hair feels absolutely amazing. I would definitely be going back and i am happy I have found a new hairdresser. Thank you ?

Always nervous to get my hair done after having previous bad cuts but Judit was very professional, she did a lovely job and made sure I was happy with it. Will definitely be going back here for my next cut.

Very clean place, warm and welcoming staff. I liked the fact that music was not blaring out and I happily read a book while getting a hair cut. Will definitely be going back again.

I've never had a bad haircut here, but I don't think the vibe is for me with pretty loud club/dance music playing.My last visit was a bit disappointing as they were running really late and seemed understaffed - my appointment was on the hour e.g. 10am, I arrived and wasn't greeted/checked in for about 15 minutes as everyone was busy (can be forgiven). I got taken by an alternative colleague to wash my hair at approx 10:25, and my hair cut actually started at 10:40, 40 mins after my appointment time, and unfortunately my hair was cut quite a bit shorter than we'd discussed.I've been coming here for a few years, and I think the salon needs a bit of TLC. There were multiple big patches of brown (water damage?) on the ceiling, and the black feature walls had scratches and chunks taken out of it. Might just make it look a bit more polished and high end!Service: Hairstyling
