My nephew bought a pack of peppers did not want a receipt as food is always ok from there . Took them home sliced them open to find they were full of mould, went back to the store ten minutes later , the lady at the till was extremely rude to my father as he had no receipt and no offer to refund or exchange

Facial recognition!? Big Brother Budgens! Terrible!
Also, on Google, says it?s open to 9pm. Went up this evening (Saturday), closes at 8pm. Please fix that on Google!

'Budgens is using facial recognition' is really not a pleasant way to greet your customers as they come through the door.
One must also pay a premium to shop here.

Products are not as fresh as they might be. In particular the Freshways milk they stock ALWAYS goes off at least a day - more often two days - before the Use-by date. There are similar issues with fruit and vegetables.
I shop here often as the store is just around the corner (too expensive for a weekly shop but good for topping up). I've learned to be cautious about buying fresh produce, or anything with a short shelf life. Make sure you can use it quickly.
I confidently expect this now-opened milk to start smelling off tomorrow (1st May).
