We stayed at the Narrowboat on a cold January night. The deluxe rooms were beautifully warm, lovely and clean. Comfortable bed with crisp white sheets, beautiful decor and very spacious..We had a very nice meal with friends and also a great breakfast of smashed avocado on sourdough with eggs, which was excellentFantastic location and overall a very enjoyable stay.

A very comfortable experience. Welcoming staff, brilliant interior (converted from an old boat yard). Room was very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. I wouldn?t hesitate to recommend The Narrowboat for a drink, meal or an overnight stay.

Came for a 30th birthday party. Paid around £40+ service fees for food. Was served this plate of burnt and overdone everything. Very disappointing that this left the kitchen in this state. Chef might hate their job but they shouldn't take it out on their customers like this. Service was friendly from the staff however.

Lovely service, staff were so much fun! Such a beautiful bar/restaurant and really easy to get to. Thanks for having us.

Last 1st Dec, I went for dinner with a friend as we loved the former ?Bell & Dragon? but service was so appalling that ruined the night. Not a great start, +60min waiting for our food. The waiter assigned to our table made mistakes with our orders constantly, it seemed he was doing it on purpose, ordered a steak pie got the chicken one, ordered a medium glass of wine, got the small, mentioned we had a discount and he forgot.. He gave us the dessert menu but never came back to take our order, none of the staff even look in our direction and there were not busy, just few tables left at that time. We got bored of waiting and decided to leave without a sweet bit, we needed to approach to this guy to ask for the bill. If the service wasn?t bad enough he showed us he was annoyed when we gave a second thought on how splitting the bill between us. Had enough that evening so we won?t be back. Sad as we used to love that place

The rooms are quite small but still decent. The pub has a good atmosphere. I'd definitely go back again.

Nice stay, went for a Party at a different location, but restaurant looked good and breakfast was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Came here for a Christmas lunch with work, the team were super organised and friendly from the get go within 10-15 minutes we were getting our food. Everyone loved the food and service. Outdoor area looks great too for summer drinks also, will definitely be back.

We came to The Narrowboat for our team festive meal out. We had a lovely table in an quiet area and the team were very attentive and patient as we waited for our guests to arrive. I loved the attention to detail in them calling out names when meals arrived, as often people do forget what they've pre-ordered. The decor was lovely and the food was superb, we will definitely be back :)

Food and service good but the function room on the boat was way too cold for our group lunch in December. Food & drinks have to be brought out from the pub so the door to the boat is opened and closed dozens of times. The warm air heaters are near the roof and proved inadequate. Many of our group sat in their winter coats while eating. Plus the chairs were wooden and most uncomfortable for a meal lasting over 2 hours. We went indoors (warm in there!) for coffee, which again was good but seemed to take forever to prepare.

Still the same great venue. The new owners seem to be going more for "pub with food" than "restaurant with bar".Unfortunately the overpriced pub grub achieves the worst of both worlds. The bar menu has also had an overhaul to be more ale oriented, which left my wife and I short of appealing options (we tried the mulled wine, which was disappointing).Nice to see some live music and engagement with local groups but poor use of the space resulted in an overly crowded bar and practically unused hall.Hoping they find a better balance soon, but I'll wait to hear from others before trying again.

Ordered three roast turkey Sunday dinners. Got no pigs in blankets or chestnut stuffing but got macaroni and cheese instead!!. The dinner was then saturated with gravy making the mash and everything else soggy. I have been in many Fullers pubs in my life (I am 65) and this was the worst food I have ever had in any pub in my life.
