Disappointed with an online purchase especially it was for the first time. I've placed an online order to purchase 5L engine oil container, paid and received a confirmation email with a delivery date within 3 days. When the delivery date passed and the item has not arrived I've emailed customer service asking for an update.
4 days later they replied with a return advice email as my order has been cancelled and the item has been returned and a refund will be issued very soon. I received another email saying oh sorry
''Due to a glitch in our system, you were allowed to order an item which we do not have in stock.Your order has been cancelled and a refund issued.''
I was deeply disappointed as I was not informed about my order cancellation before I contacted them which was days after the delivery date. Also I was really in need for that oil as my car service was overdue so it cause a lot of inconvenience for me.
The online purchase system definitely need an update, and I do appreciate the apology however, in such case you would expect at least a store voucher for the inconvenience they caused and a sign of good customer service.

Unprofessional staff both in store and online, provided me with a faulty paint can that opened and ruined my car, even though they are supposed to be sealed closed. Was constantly sent to other workers in store and eventually told to pursue the refund online, the staff online were argumentative and refused to solve any problem. Would never recommend purchasing from this store

I would like to give excellent customer service to a lovely gentleman who delivered two tons of blue slate stones from Reading to my home in high Wycombe his name was PAWEL He had one of those very big high forklift lorries.
He did everything he possibly could to get the stock as near possible to the back where I had to wheelbarrow it to my back garden.
He was polite friendly nothing was too much bothered for him. I really want to say a very big thank you to this gentleman for the outstanding service he gave I feel he deserve a little reward.

Delivered extremely dented paint tins. Customer service unhelpful and unapologetic. Replacement is going to take a week with no offer of compensation. Awful company to deal with. Just don?t bother ordering online! When it goes wrong they won?t put it right.

Generally an improvement on my previous visits, they have cleaned the place up and I found everything I was looking for having checked online first. I was surprised how quiet it was on a Monday morning but that was a bonus to be able to shop without the hassle. Helpful staff at the automated checkouts, which may not suite everyone but no queues to contend with.

Friendly and helpful staff but we couldn't stay long as it was getting too hot and there was no obvious sign of air conditioning. Felt so sorry for the staff!
I wonder if 'head office', is equipped with air conditioning ?

Great delivery by Patrick. He made sure my delivery was safely delivered when no one was home, he took great initiative in finding a secure spot to leave the product. Excellent service!

I wouldn't say it's world class, but it's pretty good. Fairly easy to get to, even by bus, and there's plenty of parking. The place is HUGE, so you'll definitely get your steps in when you go there!
Plenty of products, but I was very disappointed they don't have decent full arm length rigger gloves.
One tall dude with curly hair and glasses working in the lighting section helped me out tremendously, with some of the politest service I've ever encountered anywhere. No one was 'bad' but he's head and shoulders above the rest. Full marks to him.

Hello yesterday i came to B&Q to by some stuff that needed when i arrived to the till i was received by Joseph which for some reason that i dont understand why is working on a position where customer service is a must, and unfortunately this person has no clue what so ever that is. No hello, no thank you, no assistance, no nothing... more like a statue behind the till. Im not expecting to be treated like royalty but at least some words and help due to the fact we had a problem with some of the things we bought. This person should be in a position like this, i understand not everyone has comunication skills but if that is the problem a person like Joseph needs to be working on a position with no customer interaction and no behind a till.
