That lady that worked in online collection was so rude and super not helpful as I have been trying to find is the product I bought was new or been used as the box was damaged and tapped back. I won?t comeback to this store again as I don?t have any great experiences from it.(even just for the collection).

I had really bad experience at this store. I purchased a laptop online which came with a broken seal. I went to the store to return it and a manager called Iram refused to return it saying she cannot accept it and I will need to return it online. On top she lied and said since the payment was made with PayPal they don't do PayPal refunds instore. I wanted to return instore as laptop was delivered in a different city before Christmas. Since then I came back to reading with laptop. I called the customer service team who said they have no idea why store gave me miss information. All in all I had to return the laptop to my parents house (paid £13 postage) so that Argos online team can collect it and refund me. These people could have easily accepted my return but refused and lied. Avoid this store.

I recently bought a pressure cooker and a wardrobe. Love the quality and i am happy overal with the process. It is simple and the website is very informative.

We went in with online order code and barcode and had collected our item and left within 4 minutes. Very efficient and pleasant member of staff.

let?s give this brach a special mention, Service is really pathetic , Argos please teach your staff that they represent Argos , and not them selfs, no accountability at this Brach . As quick as you are to send emails for no reason.
Emails should be sent out for delays from wharehouse to update Customers .

Shortsighted loss of customer trust
I bought a wireless adapter from Argos Forbury, Reading. When I took it home, it didn't work and reading the instructions in fine print, I noticed that it wasn't compatible with my Macbook. This should have been displayed on the packet. I returned the adapter in the original box along with its instructions but apparently there was a tiny film part which they told me the adapter fitted in and they wouldn't accept the product without it. The sad thing is that £17 adapter and the short term thinking has left me definitely dissatisfied and I will not be shopping at argos again.
I'll be spending my money with Amazon who have a strong customer satisfaction ethos.
The sad thing was how smug they were to tell me I can't replace it. They can keep the £17. I'll be shopping £££££s at other stores.

I went to collect an item that I had purchased on line. The process was quick and efficient and the staff freindly and welcoming.
I would particularly like to thank Naomi who went above and beyond, carrying the big box to my car and making sure that I could manage to pack it in my boot. Thank you!

I dont normally write negative reviews, but this Argos deserves a special mention. The staff are unhelpful and like many others who have experienced it, do not let you return items which are defective. I would avoid this store at all costs. Many Argos items are cheap chinese imports which break within days of buying. Save your money, buy from literally anywhere else.

I have been waiting for a refund for 2 weeks and counting i was told 3 to 5 working days. So I have gone back into the store and she's keeps telling me its my bank but its not i asked for cash and got told no so I have been robbed by argos reading i won't be going back

Very bad attitude of the staff and especially manager on duty I bought a phone which on the website says 30 days money back guarantee but on the desk lady told me that I can not break the seal so I asked for the manager who was more rude and not apologetic at all and even I said thank you for wasting my time she said welcome and when I try conversation she was advising the other to not to talk to us which was very bizarre Kind of behaviour. Any ways I got it refunded same time as it was a waste of time for me and for them if you can't open the seal I never have find this policy from a supermarket. Please enlighten me if Amy one has the this or similar experience with argos.

My click and collect parcel disappeared in this Argos store. No trace of it being re-collected by Royal Mail or returned to sender. Stolen by a staff member? Probably. And then phone customer service were sarcastic and had no interest in helping me.
