My recent experience with Vodafone has truly showcased their commitment to customer satisfaction, even when facing initial hurdles. I brought my phone into the Newbury store for a battery refreshment under warranty, only for it to be returned twice by the repair centre, mistakenly stating the warranty had expired. This was incredibly frustrating, especially as I rely heavily on my phone and had already been using a spare for three weeks.
However, the team at Newbury and Vodafone's customer service truly turned things around. A huge shout-out to Jemma, the customer retail advisor, who was absolutely brilliant. She listened patiently, empathized with my situation, and went above and beyond by repeatedly contacting customer service to try and resolve the issue. Her dedication convinced me to try sending the phone for repair one last time.
When the phone unfortunately came back unfixed again, I was ready to give up. But then, I had the immense fortune of speaking with the store manager, Ollie. He was incredibly understanding and proactive, immediately taking ownership of my complaint and submitting it on my behalf.
Thanks to Ollie's intervention, I soon received a call from Vodafone's customer service team, and to my absolute delight, they offered a Pristine iPhone 16 Pro Max as a replacement for my old phone! This gesture has completely exceeded my expectations.
This entire experience, despite its rocky start, has ultimately reinforced my trust in Vodafone. It demonstrates that they truly value their customers and are prepared to go the extra mile to make things right. The outstanding support from Jemma, Ollie, and the final resolution from customer service has left me incredibly impressed. Thank you, Vodafone!

I had pre-ordered my phone online and completed all necessary steps to ensure a smooth in-store collection. Unfortunately, my visit was anything but smooth. Upon arrival, I was made to wait over an hour, only to watch a man who arrived after me?who happened to be of a fairer complexion?get served before me. This felt like a clear dismissal based on my appearance, which I found dehumanizing and incredibly disrespectful.
What?s even more unacceptable is the baseless suspicion I faced regarding the legitimacy of my identity and address. Despite providing full proof?including ID, my banking app, and debit card?I was still treated with suspicion and accused of potential fraud, simply because I live in a well-regarded area. The implication that I was falsifying information was offensive and rooted in prejudiced assumptions.
To add to the discomfort, an advisor was visibly laughing at another customer who struggled with English and was trying to communicate via phone with her husband. The lack of professionalism in this store is appalling.
When my mother stepped in to assist with my case, the store manager responded rudely, telling her she was ?talking too much? and that it was ?his turn to speak,? in a dismissive and unprofessional tone. Neither the advisor nor the manager could give a clear or justifiable reason as to why I was being denied the phone I had paid for.
Throughout this entire ordeal, I remained calm, respectful, and patient?but the treatment I received was discriminatory, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.
Vodafone Northbrook Street is in urgent need of new management, staff training on professionalism, and education on racial sensitivity and customer service. I will not be returning to this branch and sincerely hope that Vodafone takes complaints like this seriously.

I had a problem transferring a SIM card from one Doro phone to another.
Fortunately, Selina was on hand today to sort it out in about a minute.
She could not have been more helpful.

Been with Vodafone for approximately 15years. Although the individual staff in the shop are friendly they have no power to do anything. Only the complaints department over the phone can be help. However after having the same issue for the fourth time and Vodafone giving appalling customer service I have moved provider and saving over £40 per month. Avoid Vodafone!

Ended my contract with Vodafone after over 25 years, some of the worst customer service ive ever come across, manager in the Newbury shop has only ever been rude to my partner and I so now I've moved my partner and I to EE who gave me a much better deal than Vodafone, simply had enough

Went in to Newbury Vodafone on Thursday afternoon. Couldn?t charge phone. No connection with the charge lead. GEMMA had a go and said she thought something was stuck in the input hole. Then GEMMA got out a state of the art technical piece of equipment - a toothbrush. She cleaned the input of fluff and started to charge phone with her lead. That worked. Then she tried my lead and phone continued to charge. Then she asked if I had anything else to do in town so I cleared off for tens minutes and when I got back GEMMA came over briefly even though she was with someone else. The phone was charging perfectly. GEMMA didn?t ask for any money. What a star. Please give her a considerable pay rise.
