Excellent location, few minutes walk into town centre. Clean, quiet, decent shower, plenty hot water and a beer bottle opener but no Cork screw for wine?? Not all guests are beer drinkers...

I've grumbled about Travelodge before. You know why you can't open the windows fully in a Travelodge? They're worried you'll jump out. Why would you jump out? You're in an effing Travelodge! The only thing that set this one apart was the very polite and charming desk staff.I should add that the couple in the next room had a lovely time. Several times.

So, we do like Newbury and have stayed at different places; however this was our first stay at this particular Travelodge.Great location, walking distance to the train station, walking distance to town and walking distance to Toby Carvery.Easy check in, as we arrived early staff were happy for us to leave our bags so we could venture out before our room was ready. Staff friendly and helpful. We were surprised not to find a hairdryer in the room, but following a short jog down to reception we were supplied with one.The room was clean as were the communal areas. It is handy that toiletries are provided. The shower was lovely, hot and powerful. They still have the dreaded shower curtain though. The negatives,- The lifts constantly smelt strongly of cigarette smoke, to the point we can only assume people whom appeared to be residing in the hotel were lighting up before getting outside. (This is assumed from what we witnessed)- The light in our bathroom had a fault and would not always turn on. (We did report to be fixed)All in all we would certainly stay again.

This was our third recent stay at this particular hotel, with this booking for 10 nights. On each visit, Annie has handled our check in. Annie is always very helpful, friendly, and efficient. Service with a smile EVERY time ! Excellent customer service !Walkability: Very close to the town centre.

Really friendly and informative check in by Alex: who continued to chat later in my stay when I visited reception. The room was great, laid out well with loads of usb ports and was spotlessly clean. Great location a few great bars nearby some with excellent food. An Aldi supermarket opposite for emergency beers and snacks. On the whole: excellent value for money.

A one night stopover. Delightful young man called Alex on the front desk. Enquired whether it was our first trip to Newbury, gave us a map and recommended where to go. Rooms perfectly clean, secure overnight parking 3mins walk away in underground shopping centre. All very good.

No thrills here. If you need somewhere to sleep last minute, here is fine. It's right on the main road so very rushy getting there. Park at the car park round the corner not in front.Inside is standard. Won't get anything magical at a travelodge haha. But there was nothing to complain about either. You don't travel to Newbury specifically for a travelogue, what else can I say.

I booked a disabled room last Friday 24th until Monday 27th . Never again would I book a travel lodge the room was very unclean , mould in the bath room , shower drain blocked and flooded the bathroom, which caused my daughter my carer to slip as she said thankfully it was her and not me which would of neaded an ambulance, bins was not emptied, tea: coffee not filled up daily or toilet rolls , beds not made , stains on the carpets . A very very cold room draught coming in through the very large window, I would never ever recommend a travel lodge to anyone , very upset by it all and definitely not worth my money !!!!!!!!!!

This is one I'd recommend skipping. The only positive is its location. However, the sheets were dirty, marks stained the carpet, and there was no soap in the bathroom. On top of that, despite booking a room with breakfast included, there wasn't a bar or breakfast area on-site, so I missed out on breakfast. So if your looking for a good place for an overnight stay, I'd go next door to premier Inn.

Awful awful pillows but great bed. Very clean room, easy to check in late at night. £30 well spent! Nice shower but tray too shallow so water spills over

My first time staying in Newbury and I have to say it was surprisingly one of my best stays in a Travelodge. The team did nothing but their best to accommodate to my needs, they were all lovely especially the manager Annie.

I usually travel on the M4 often to visit my family and had to book a room in the Newbury Town centre as everywhere else was fully booked. I was really impressed with the quality of services and how lovely the staff was. The manager and the assistant manager were really helpful in guiding me around the city to find a place to eat. Hotel was clean , probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in and very easy accessible .
