Absolutely LOVE the Halfords Newbury fitting service. Once you have been through the pain of fitting even the most basic of car parts - headlight anybody - paying a Halfords specialist to make that pain go away is worth every single penny.

Needed some help getting the right size Torx security screwdriver to release my sunroof panel. Helpfully came out to my car took the size and found the product. Nice set of Halfords Advanced set of Torx T-handle pieces did the job.

since writing the above, i had another excellent customer service experience with halfords (march 21, 2025) when a very helpful representative fitted four wheel trims to my car and gave me some good advice about fixing cable ties to secure the trims.
outstanding in every way and reasonably priced - thank you, halfords

SUPERB service. Bought a new front bicycle basket, and rear rack. Dylan advised on options, and fitted them. Such a wonderful smiley super helpful man Dylan is, and a fabulous low cost yet fast professional service. I'm really impressed with how lovely it is visiting and dealing with Halfords.

I had a terrible experience with Halfords Newbury and would not recommend this branch.
I purchased a dashcam from Halfords Newbury in November 2024 and had it fitted there due to availability issues at my local store in Winchester. Unfortunately, the dashcam stopped working in March 2025, so I contacted Halfords customer care. They arranged a callback from the Newbury branch, which took 3-4 days. When I finally received the call, a staff member scheduled an appointment for me at 4:30 PM the next day to have it checked.
Since I live in Winchester, I had to drive 35 minutes to the Newbury store. Upon arrival, I was told that the staff member who was supposed to check my dashcam had left at 4 PM?before my appointment! To make matters worse, I was informed that he had booked time off from 4 PM that day for a two-week holiday. This means they knowingly scheduled me for an appointment when no one was available to assist me. Not only was this completely unprofessional, but no one even bothered to inform me before I made the unnecessary trip.
I expected better professionalism and customer service from Halfords. A simple call or message to reschedule could have saved me time, effort, and fuel. Instead, I was left frustrated and disappointed by their lack of communication and care.
Thankfully, I went to the Halfords Basingstoke branch, where the staff immediately checked and resolved the issue on the spot?a completely different level of service!
If you have a choice, avoid the Halfords Newbury branch and go elsewhere. The lack of professionalism and customer care here is shocking.

Just received some fantastic customer service from the holdenhurst rd Bournemouth branch of Halfords. I had numbers plates put on at an another Branch of Halfords 3 weeks ago travelling today found front plate missing. Popped into Halfords Bournemouth served by Des very helpful plates all sorted. This is my third visit to this store and they are always really helpful.
