Popped in today en route to the train station, picked up a cottage loaf, not had one in years, and 4 currant buns. Oh my days just absolutely delicious. It's grand to see proper bread and buns still being made.

Great food
Even better staff.
My x2 chicken pies and mash took me back to a happy place when my nan was alive and cooking good old English food with good ingredients.

Rude, came in to buy drink and some food, after paying wanted to sit down was told I paid takeaway price?not a way to treat customers especially if the cafe is empty?

My daughter and I stopped here for lunch our way to Wales. We really enjoyed the Chelsea buns, lemon drizzle cake and perfectly brewed earl grey tea. The sandwiches were also fresh and well balanced. The staff were friendly, service good and we would definitely visit again.

Been going to The Empire Cafe since I was a kid. I get a lardy cake delivered every year to my dad on his birthday. Wendy and the team are amazing! Thanks for continuing the hard work.
