Gotta love a Dunelm Mill!
Lots of choice of homewares from bedding to kitchen ware. From lighting to storage, They've got it all.
Also love the seasonal stuff they bring in too.
Staff always friendly and helpful.
Prices reasonable.
Plenty of parking too!

I needed the toilet while in Dunelm and when I went to use it it was absolutely filthy bins full and overflowingfloor sopping wet . As it is near the restaurant I think it is a health hazard. Hope it has been sorted out by now. And there is a rota now. There was no rota so I guess people don't care about hygiene and and health any more.

Be aware of the prices when you check out, I was charged £20 for a clock it was labelled £15 plus towels was labelled £1.50 I was charged £2.50?

There's a cafe here called Pausa. The menu is quite restricted but there is soup&roll, toasties, paninis, baked potatoes with toppings. Sandwiches are served with salad and crisps. It's simple and inexpensive for a quick bite and tea or coffee. And there's a big homeware area with anything you want for a kitchen or gifts as well as bedding, curtains, lighting, pictures and frames. I would recommend the shop and the café.

Every time we come to restaurant big queue no staff and no jacket potatoes. My brother gluten free so impossible to eat. Need more help and more jacket potatoes. Staff that are there very pleasant. 1 o'clock early to run out of hot food. Basingstoke shop much more staff and food

Do you ever look at these reviews, i went in your newbury store today for breakfast. We ordered two hot chocolates and two breakfast, the assistant did not give me the recipe, we then waited 20 minutes and had drunk our drinks before the breakfast arrived,on arrival we sent it back as it was cold we then waited another 10 minutes and when it final arrived after being put in a microwave, the toast was like cardboard, nobody came and said sorry so I would not be returning

Store was extremely quiet and it made browsing easy. Store did however seem to be devoid of staff so when I had a query I had to go hunting for a staff member. To be fair once found they were very helpful

I shop here or online regularly and love the products. However, I was very disappointed with the service during my last visit.
We fancied a coffee but there was a long queue and only one person making orders, so we decided to go get a Costa Coffee takeaway instead.
I also feel that the young checkout staff need training in how to handle certain situations to not embarrass customers. For example, one of my cards declined as I forgot I'd moved my money around earlier in the day and Smaily recited "ITS DECLINED" loudly so the large queue behind could hear. This panicked me and made me forget my pin on another card. I could see it declined on screen, and expected reassurance, but that is not what I got whatsoever. I actually felt very stupid and pressurised. So much so, I just asked my partner to pay and sent him the money after, because she'd made me feel uncomfortable.
Never felt the need to write a review about this store as it's one of my favourites, but will think twice before coming in-store again after that.

Popped in to return some items ordered online. The return process (for 6 items) took a long time... maybe 10 minutes, and unfortunately they weren't able to offer store credit for 1 item that I couldn't provide the receipt for. Still, the refunds went through, and the staff were very friendly, and given I wasn't in a hurry the slow service didn't matter too much! Thanks.
