We used HG/Buildbase to supply all the parts for our new bath & shower rooms. The staff were outstanding! I have never been anywhere that had such a range of products & knowledge and was so flexible. The finished rooms are wonderful and have probably already added more value to the house than they cost! Highly recommended.

Hit and miss with this place, turned up today 14/11 at 1620hrs, with 20 packs of bricks, but the 2 goods in guys, would rather sit on their phones than tip me. Normally only takes 20mins to tip.

Fantastic interlude at Buildbase, this morning! Two friendly and welcoming staff told me where I could find roofing battens, then gave practical advice on other needs I had for wood! A third member of staff, overheard my enquiry about delivery, which was local, and directed me to the transport manager at the shop! Paid for the wood, and provided a contact number! Trouble is, I didn?t have my phone with me, so when I got home, 3 messages had been left! lol Anyway, phoned up, apologised for not being there, only to be told that everything was fine, and the wood had been put over the main gate to the allotment site! Brilliant, and a wonderful display of excellent teamwork! Many thanks!

This review is for the show room not the shop as the shop was helpful and friendly! But the show room side just seemed rude and gave off the impression the were above you and had little interest in helping you.

Always disappointing to find a business with a web site that misinforms. Journeyed into Newbury at 14.45 on December 31st because the website said it closed at 17.00 to find it was closed and locked at 15.05. Surely not the most difficult job in the world to amend the web site. No wonder we all order online these days.
