We went on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised when we saw that small sharer plates were only £5 per plate in offer between 4pm-7pm, we ordered all 5 between 2, which was plenty( you could always add a bowl of fries) all the food was delicious and wine went down nicely. We sat towards the front of the restaurant, which they let us know was not specifically table service, however they were very attentive anyway.

Sat outside with a friend for a cream tea - was very lovely. The staff were welcoming, gave us water for the dog, the scone was amazing. Will be back for a dinner there soon

Excellent restaurant and service! The Newbury branch has really improved since the refresh with more relaxed decor and a ?café? feel at the front of the restaurant. The staff have always been brilliant, attentive and genuinely interested in their customers. We came in on Sunday for a late lunch, we were greeted warmly by Jonny and service by other staff was excellent. Food portions are good and the price is very reasonable with special offers on the Bill?s ?favourites?.

A must place to visit when you need a good breakfast, brunch or lunch. I really loved the way that Bills cafe bar had been split into a lounge, order your own and table service areas. The decor and ambiance were second to none in my opinion a lovely place to eat. The food was good, prices were decent and the staff were very friendly especially Harrison. I would have given five stars but forgot to order an extra sausage, big eater so my fault!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are availableDietary restrictions: The staff asked if we had any allergies at allKid-friendliness: Crayons and paper to keep the little ones entertainedWheelchair accessibility: No problem for wheelchair users as the entrance and floor area are flat

We didn?t eat but came for drinks during Happy Hour. Love the refurbishment. A great place for drinks and a chat, great atmosphere and not too loud!

Absolutely brilliant! My only comment is the main dinner menu could have more options as it was mainly burgers but that is my only comment.

Bills used to be the go-to place for family celebrations and brunches with friends due to high quality food, service and the waiting staff that would go above and beyond to make you feel special. I went with my partner a couple of weeks ago and on entering, was told that it's changed and you order by phone. I thought the restaurant was just undertaking a redecoration, not a complete refresh and restructure. The food was bland, not very hot and the lack of table service has sucked the personality out of the place. Bills were what I would consider a uniquely fantastic chain, the recent changes have ruined the experience completely...all for the sake of cost saving measures. I won't be coming back in a hurry. Also, given the lack of service due to order by phone, I felt that the default service charge was extortionate! A service charge that high shouldn't apply when there is hardly any service involved! Very disappointed.

Visited Bills Newbury whilst staying over on work trip. They have now adopted app based ordering at the tables which worked fine. Enjoyed sea bass main course and fruit crumble, both of which were of good quality. Nice to find the crumble had been heated in the oven (server warned me of a very hot copper pan it was served in) - so much better than microwaving.
