I'm a Brit living in the US, and wanted to give my American wife a taste of a 'proper' English pub Sunday lunch while were over visiting family. I'd seen the Hinds Head recommended and thought if we were going to go anywhere, then this would be a great example. We were both very, very impressed. From the scotch egg and soup starters, through the main course of beef for her and pork for me (including the best roast spuds I've ever had!) and ending with a gorgeous Eton Mess this was worth the trip. I've been telling my UK based friends that they really need to visit - even if you have a drive round the M25 to get there!

Fish and chips was never anything special for me? but this lives in a completely separate level. The real stars: the batter and the chips. Superbly done, with a brilliant side of flavours (including the mushy peas!). If there is only one thing missing here, it is the tartare sauce. Still, wonderful food, amazing and friendly staff, and the best of an ?old? british pub interior design. Highly recommended!

Decent price and so much better than hand and flowers/Kerridge. Staff not slick nor finessed and definitely not at all Michelin, but not rude. Interesting that water served in a carafe is £4 a time. Nothing remarkable about the food and the desserts definitely not to standard that any restaurant with a Michelin should have.

Wonderful meal, and service, from start to finish. As two of our party had food allergies, the staff were particularly attentive to this and came up with some great options for us. The venison carpaccio starter was a real delight, and my husband just loved the oxtail and kidney pudding. Puddings were a real treat. My daughter's chocolate wine slush looked just like a cup of coffee and a biscuit, but tasted totally different. My raspberry tart looked like something other than what it tasted, which was great, and a lovely surprise. We could not fault the restaurant - pity we did not live closer to it!

We came here for our 1 year anniversary meal, and it did not disappoint, I had the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly and served with triple cooked chips, and my significant other had the fish and chips which she absolutely loved including the chippy dip which was just a touch of nostalgia of eating soggy vinegary chips from an actual chippy. To finish off the team served us this nice little board to mark out our anniversary. Loved it and already planning on returning!

Beautiful venue and friendly staff. The pudding is extremely rich and filling, despite its small package.Overall, a very relaxed dining experience compared to Dinner, with similar price tags.

Can?t get a table at the Fat Duck? Then why not check out Heston?s *other* Michelin starred joint just a few doors away? The restaurant is superb but the place still serves as an excellent local pub with its own bar menu which is highly recommended in its own right. Dog-friendly too

We went twice over span of a couple weeks. First time was evening before our Fat Duck lunch and we wanted to try Heston?s pub. We loved it so much we brought the family down for Sunday lunch on our last day of our UK trip. This is more than just well executed and creative traditional pub food. It?s a lovely old pub, great service, amazing ingredients and presentation. Perfectly soft in the middle scotch eggs; some of the richest wine reduction with the oxtail and kidney pie; fun and delicious quaking pudding and some of the best sour dough we have ever tried (2nd only to the Fat Duck next door).Sunday lunch was relatively good value allowing selection off the main menu or more traditional British Sunday lunch choices. Heston must love strawberries - they featured in dessert at the Fat Duck and his Eton Mess was refreshing and so tasty.Easy to get to from Windsor / Heathrow so will always try and get back

Such a cool pub, steeped in history & with a great atmosphere. Avril our waitress was fantastic, full of knowledge & passion, thank you so much. Food was fantastic, all with a little Heston twist!

We had a voucher given to us and had a set menu with 2 options per course - we liked all of them, First time here and we really enjoyed all of our meal, The staff were very attentive and friendly. Refreshing change to have really good service and really good quality food. The village of Bray is very pretty and we loved the traditional interior of the pub. We will come back here again.Food & drinks: Excellent food

Visiting The Hinds Head for the first time , there is a level of expectation being a Michelin Star rated restaurant? wow absolutely amazing food , service and ambiance. Since moving to the UK , this is the best food experience I have had . Thank you I will see you soon for some more of this amazing hospitality and cuisine!

Lovely old building and bar area.Food is interesting and tasty.Slow service, not very attentive: needed to ask for things like napkins rather than being offered them as a matter of course.Noteworthy details: The restaurant can get very busy, so it is best to book.

I came here for a spontaneous lunch on a Friday. I had a quail scotch egg as a starter, the trout for main and pineapple cheesecake for dessert. They were all executed to near perfection and very tasty. The pub was gorgeous. The best part of the meal however was the service - friendly, attentive and very helpful. Bray village is gorgeous. It?s worth a little wander down the lane to the church right next to the restaurant.
